Hey, no need to curse...this is a Christian band . Anyway, besides Petra, this is one of my favorite Christian rock bands ever. They really know how to rock. I love the new guitarist, Brian Wooten....I wonder what he's doing today. Of course, Rick/Ric/Rique/Rikc/etc Florian rocks with the vocals and I like Mark Gersmehl (THAT'S HOW YOU SPELL HIS NAME!!!!) lends his vocals and keys and I really think he adds to the sound a lot. Probably my third fave album. My fave is Freedom, then Highlands. |

GREAT ALBUM! Hear the fantastic ballad 'desert rose'...and you'll know what I mean. |

Pales compared to their last album-'Freedom'. They tried to continue with the change to actual rock but clearly Billy Smilley untied himself and got behind the controls again and destroyed the progress they made with 'Freedom' turning this into a Richard Marx sound-a-like. |

does possibly pale a little to freedom but is easily their second best in my opinion and it's held up as a classic after many years have gone by. I almost would say I like it just as much as freedom. I agree the new guitarist Wooten is quite the monster here. He plays very well with great style. I have had a great time digging out this album (which was the one I kept along with freedom, even though I owned all their albums years ago). This album was white heart at their peak. Full of energy after the success of Freedom and it shows. A great cd worth buying without doubt. And hey what's with all the Billy Smiley hating? I don't get it? Fill me in on what crimes this man committed. He writes a lot of the lyrics and music to the best of white hearts songs? |
