If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Jackyl CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Jackyl are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

The personnel is the same as their other albums, sorry if I didn't write it in there. Well, here's a contractually-obligated best-of CD. Some rather odd choices here (i.e. "Misery Loves COmpany" and "Secret of the Bottle"), two live tracks (notice that Jesse's sex-rap on "Dirty Little Mind" is VERY similar to the version on NOTLD) and three previously-unreleased songs, two of them covers. Where is "Cut the Crap" or "Thanks for the Grammy?" |

ALL THE JACKYL YOU WOULD EVER NEED & MAYBE MORE THAN YOU'D ACTUALLY EVER NEED. ALL THE "HITS" FROM THE DEBUT DISC. THE UNRELEASED MUSIC ON HERE IS WEAK. A "GOOD" COMPILATION FOR THE CASUAL FAN OF THE BAND. 8.0 OVERALL. |

This is a good one to pick up if your not familiar with Jackyl. It covers their first three studio albums plus a live one and has most of their best songs and a few unreleased one to. |

A good-enough best-of package, with all the essentials, and a few extras. The Beatles cover sucks, though, and I really wish the rare B-side "Walkin' Change" had been included instead, as that's a great song not available anywhere else. We do get the equally rare "Mister, Can You Spare A Dime," though, so that's something. And I have no idea why "isery Loves Company" is on there, or what the hell is going on during the live version of "Dirty Little Mind." Jesse asks someone, "You got your seatbelt on? If you get hurt, I don't you to cry, don't you be cryin', no shit, I'm warnin' you right now ..." Huh? |
