If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Jackyl CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Jackyl are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This compilation is pretty spotty. You get most (but not all) of the early singles, but few of the fan-favorite deep cuts like "Just Like A Devil." They couldn't get clearnace to use "Locked And Loaded," and so replace it with two other songs from Cut The Crap (two of the better ones, but still inferior to "Locked And Loaded"). And by the way, "Dumb Ass Country Boy" hasn't held up well at all, with Jesse's oh-so-1997 gripes about sissy-rock and waning interest from radio. The selection of later songs is just as erratic, with no "She's Not A Drug," or "All Night Rodeo," but stinkers like "Favorite Sin" and "Just Because I'm Drunk," plus the version of "Just Like A Negro" with DMC to prove that some of jesse's best friends are black (Jesse all but pleaded for someone to be outraged by the original version, but no one who mattered was). Then we get yet another live version of "Redneck Punk."

The festivities conclude with a cover of Black Oak Arkansas's "Hot And Nasty," originally from 1997, but touched up to remove Tom Bettini and Jimmy Stiff's parts. In the end, the disc is kinda like the appetizer sampler at a sports bar: greasy and fried, bad for you but oh so good, but yet in amongst the wings and the mozzarella sticks and the jalapeno poppers, you get broccoli bites or fried zucchini or something. You wonder why it's there, and ask if you couldn't just get tater skins instead.
