This band plays smokin' hot hard rock. They remind me of bands like VAN HALEN, DIRTY RHYTHM, HERICANE ALICE and WILDSIDE. Also, don't confuse this DEZIRE band with other bands with the same name. These guys are from Texas and they rock!!! |

Not at all like the afore mentioned bands, but then again, it's hard to tell with such thin production. Still, the musicians aren't very good, & the lyrics pretty f'n cheese too. |

Hey Niglin.....I noticed you didn't give us an idea of who they sounded like to you? It's always so easy to say...."oh, they don't sound like those guys", but, you can't offer some bands to give us an idea of who the band sounds like. So easy to do isn't it....??? You see, since we can't actually hear the band here on these pages, the best we can hope for is someone to give us their take on who they sound like to give us an idea of the band's sound.......who do you think they sound like???? |

IMHO, the above bands listed by Delbert probably do provide a general idea of the style these guys were aiming for, though, like most bands, their sound is unique and I likely couldn't come up with other more germane comparisons. Would have especially loved to hear "Heading Into Town," "Falling," "A-Train" and 1-2 others mixed with a big studio production, but, production aside, this is still a pretty cool indie and I'd say grab it if the price is right.....Jeff. |

Thank you jstoyz....you actually said it better than I did. When I say this band sounds like "such and such", I wouldn't expect anyone to play the album and think they are listening to that particular band.....just trying to give the reader my humble opinion on the style or at times, some auditory highlight of what to expect. If I said the band sounds like "Def Leppard", you wouldn't put the CD on and expect to hear Motley Crue!!!! They are very far apart. One of the hardest things I've tried to do is make comparisons. No two people hear the same things....it's over...that's all I've got to say about that!! |

Well stated Del. I'd only add that your reviews, especially of the HTF and more obscure indies, aids me considerably with establishing an initial frame of reference and, thus, with the decision of whether or not I'd like to further research a particular title. So, thanks! |
