| Remember when I got the cd-single of "all or nothing" and saw the video on some channel in 93´, I who thought they have quit then was really impressed with this one, but this is the really last good old Dogs album from them. Then Tyla turn to do some good solo albums and probably reunited with the old guys....I hope.

| It's not fair for me to comment on bands like this because I just hate them so much, but I once owned this and if you like Quireboys, Rock City Angels and the like you'll probably like this, but to me this is just outright awful, dead and completely un-inspired rock. Awful, IMO.

| An angrier, darker Dogs here. Very little is left of the playful tone of their earlier works... though the swagger still remains, it's just done so in a much more serious melancholy tone. Standouts include the title track, What's Happening Here, Mr Barfly and Pretty Pretty Once, but it lacks the strong hooks of the earlier material on the remainder of songs... but overall a quality album that'll still appeal to Dogs fans. Just not the best to start off with to really 'get' them. 7/10

| I bought this album on cassette the year it came out as at the time I had only just started getting into the band, but havent listened to it in god knows how many years due to not owning it on CD which would have been ripped to my MP3 player. For some reason a few days ago I did a random Amazon search for the band, and stumbled across a copy of this for less than £1 plus P&P. I couldnt really remember much about it other than the title track, and thought that maybe its cause it wasnt that great of an album. After ripping it to my PC and listening to it before leaving for work, I was amazed at how many great songs there were on it, and it brought the memories flooding back. I am not a mental Dogs fan, so its the original release without the bonus tracks, but its now got me wanting to replace all the other Dogs albums I have on cassette. Very good album even if it isnt their outright best.
