|Great album! I cant tell you how much better this album is than the first ST album. It rocks. find it and buy it!
||Date: July 20, 2001 at 10:26|
|This album sucks out loud!! There is only one decent song on it. Don' waste your money on it.
||Date: August 11, 2001 at 10:21|
|Lick ME Denise!!! This cd was great. More Mature than the first, but still the Trixter vibe.
||Date: September 11, 2001 at 3:47|
|Teenager music....Trixter makes Warrant a serious band...ahahah.... I heard it when I was 18 and I hated it at the first bite... I said: ok, now let's start listenin' something REAL....and I put on the stereo Faster Pussycat's 'Wake me when it's over'... Totally agree with Denise
||Date: September 15, 2001 at 12:11|
|This album rocks more than the debut.
||Date: September 26, 2001 at 9:52|
|Of course this is teenager music, considering they were 18 and 19 when it was done. What does that have to do with anything? Trixter was kicking ass during their teenage years. Big deal! What were you doing during your teenage years? Nothing close to what these guys were doing. They had to have something considering they toured with Kiss and other big names. I liked this cd more than the first one. There was alot of talent in this band and more potental if they would have stuck around.

|Fantastic. I don't like the first one but this is real hard rock. FAster Pussycat has never done a song like 'Bloodrock'. This is good, I don't mind if they were 19 when they did it, it's a fine cd. The only thing I don't like are the ballads, too 'sweet'.
||Date: March 17, 2002 at 5:45|
|I don't mean to piss off the fans of Trixter when I say that 'Hear' (IN MY OPINION) really isn't that good compared to the first or even on its own. The musicianship is definitely there, Pete's voice had improved quite dramatically & even the production is better, but the melody lines & the songs just aren't what they could have been & don't compare to the first. It's still a good record but Trixter's debut still stands as their best in my book. Still a lot of talent for such young musicians.
||Date: March 26, 2002 at 12:14|
|Much better than their first. The debut was OK, but like D2 just too wimpy. Hear corrects this problem with some solid hard driving rockers.
||Date: April 8, 2002 at 11:05|
|Yeah, the sound was 'tougher' (that's right; quote one quote') but never being a humongous fan of Trixter's, I can still say that the first sounded a lot better than 'Hear!' ever will be. Why does all rock have to be 'hard'? I don't need to have head-throbbing rock all the time--if you like hard why don't you listen to heavy metal instead of pop metal? Again, I will give Trixter credit for having so much creative talent for such young rock and rollers. Never one of my faves, but they kicked ass.

|I personally thought this was a great cd but unfortunately the groundwork was set and it never stood a chance and that's too bad. These guys were always kind of a 'Van Halen Lite' to me and this album to me sounded a lot like VH2 era Van Halen. The dye at the time was set for these guys and had they released freakin Sgt. Pepper at the time it would have sold crap. Too bad as this is just a fun rock-n-roll album.
||Date: July 8, 2002 at 18:58|
|'Nobody's a Hero' is good, the rest is pretty average. Don't pay too much for it because you certainly won't be paying much attention to it after you file it away in your collection after a cursory spin or two.
||Date: August 10, 2002 at 0:00|
|This album sucks bit time, the only decent song is ' Nobody's a hero ' , the rest is for the skip button.
||Date: August 10, 2002 at 0:29|
|I can't believe what people are saying about this album, I haven't heard their first album but this one totally kick arse! Pack with attitude and fun hard rockin' songs. Songs like Damn Good, Rockin' Horse, Wild is the Heart and On the Road Again and the sensational ballad Runaway Train. 9.6/10
||Date: September 14, 2002 at 14:25|
|My opinion of this cd 10 years ago was luke warm but i pulled it out today and i have to say it kick out some serious rock. If you remember this as a disapointment and you have not heard it in 7 years or so give it another try, it is better now than yesteryear. A solid 8.5
||Date: September 14, 2002 at 16:29|
|My favorite track on the album is 'Rockin Horse' other than that the rest of the album is mediocre. I like the 1st one a lot better.

|I hate to break it to you, but the record company had these guys lie about their ages. PJ was the only one who was really that young. Pete Loran was actually 23 when the first album came out. As for Hear!, it's not as good as the first, which is saying something. THe first half of this is better. 'Runaway Train' is an excellent ballad, but 'As the Candle Burns' is nauseating.

|very good album; strong songwriting on this one..didn't dig the first album alot, but this one was truly a great rock album.... wasn't there a 3rd album also with some covers on it? listening tips: bloodrock, road of a 1000 dreams,and the swinger wild is the heart... excellent album.... 8/10 tomcat@dolfijn.Nl
||Date: January 19, 2003 at 3:56|
|more raw sounding than the first one. it is cool album
||Date: January 28, 2003 at 3:56|
|a better effort than their first but still too basic. They may be young, but their technical ability is still only average too say the least. Once again, some catchy tunes, but I feel that if the put some timing changes in the song arrangements it would totally fuck them up...tell me I'm wrong? A listenable album, but one for musically brain-dead 13 year old girls...3/10 (for looks).

||Date: June 23, 2003 at 19:12|
|This album was good...but not a perfect masterpiece like their first album was. I'm still hapy I got it.....but the magic of the first cd wasn't compltely their...the image was lost a little......it can't compare to the self titled debut. Line of Fire!!!!

|GREAT NEWS EVERYONE!!!!! First of all, this sophomore release by Trixter 'Hear!' is quite excellent. The news is that Trixter(it's old members) are planning to release a new dvd in 2004. It wil have all the trixter videos from MTV, backstage scenes and possibly two never beofre heard songs. Go to peteloran.com and see for yourself what he has to say about it....and don't forget to e-mail him (as he requests) and tell him you'd be heavily interested in a trixter dvd. What a treat for all fans

|I bought this cd after hearing the song rocking horse and reading reviews from this post. First off, rocking horse rocks, I like it alot. However, the rest of this cd blows. It was a major disappointment. I don't understand how a band can sound so good on one song and the rest of the cd be complete cheese pop. If you haven't bought this cd yet, save your money and download rocking horse.

|Does anyone know when Trixter's new album is due out?? This album is in my top 10 of all time!!!!!!!!

|This is a great, solid peice of commercial hard rock. Worlds better in terms of musical input as opposed to the debut, but I still prefer the songs on the debut... well, most of them. This one, however, has some gems like 'Rockin' horse', 'Bloodrock' and my personal fave 'What it takes'. I also like 'Nobody's a hero'. Overall, not too many duds and it's really quite a good, solid hard rock album. Nicely done.

|This is a kick ass album indeed. Excellent melodic rock. Even better then there debut album. And if you call this chees pop you are probably on steroids. Get a grip of yourself instead of writing complete of the mark and stupid comments Bloodhound. 8/10 There third album ( covers ) sucks big time tho. Avoid that one at all cost.

|This is quality stuff. It manages to sound very heavy but very melodic at the same time, and still gets regular plays in my CD deck to this day. Opener 'Road of...' is probably my fave track with a great chorus, but the ballad 'As the candle burns' is also excellent. If you love 80's sounding MHR then you should really have this in your collection. 8/10.

|Anyone have Loran's long-OOP solo disc: 'Be of this Time' and know if it's any good?
||Date: July 2, 2005 at 12:41|
|A marked improvement over their self-titled debut. Highlights include 'Damn Good', 'Rocking Horse', 'Bloodrock', and 'What It Takes'.
||Date: September 21, 2005 at 6:06|
|This band gets bagged out alot and probably with good reason. I do own the first 2 albums and have to say that 'hear' is a bit of a shit sandwich. I thought the first disc had a couple of good tracks but 2 good songs doesn't make a band. They sound abit like early danger danger but without the quality songs. They certainly have that sort of party vibe. Anyway don't buy this unless you have too much money to piss away.
||Date: June 9, 2006 at 8:54|
|Mediocre? Average? Piece of shit? Wow! I totally disagree with these comments! I think that David is totally right: this CD is a fuckin' great example of melodic rock, much much better than the debut. For me a 9/10!
||Date: June 18, 2006 at 16:54|
|Killer album 9/10. So are these guys getting back together or what ? At least thats what i heard !
||Date: April 28, 2008 at 13:03|
|And to confirm my own question: Yep Trixter are back together in the original line up
||Date: April 28, 2008 at 13:17|
|And yeah did i mention that this is melodic early 90's rock bliss
||Date: April 28, 2008 at 14:50|
|Highly under the radar type album from these guys. Very underrated, but hugely melodic but still havin' a rockin' edge to it, this album took Trixter to the next level songwriting-wise....totally love 'Nobody's a Hero'!
||Date: April 27, 2010 at 2:25|
|Finally found this one 2 years ago and it was such a relief. The album is a killer and almost in par compare to ST album. Grab it if you saw one at used record store or ebay. Worth buying. I give it 9.4/10.

|If I recall, I bought this in the spring of '95. Saw both this one and the debut on cassette for like $3 each (already had the s/t). Anyway, Trixter grows up a little bit on this one. The songs might not be as catchy, but they're a little heavier, and not as stomach-turningly sugary. 'Rockin' Horse' and 'Damn GOod' kick ass, and 'Road Of 1000 Dreams' is good as well, although not the best opener. 'What It Takes' is probably the heaviest thing they ever did, and 'Power Of Love' would've fit perfectly on the debut. And I really like the ballad 'Runaway Train,' but can't deal with the other one, 'As The Candle Burns.'
||Date: December 31, 2010 at 18:21|
|will be here when I read that on this album just a good song so I could throw up again! people have to write something like the disc not know of a very good hard rock! The boys were teenagers ... and yes ...?? kissin dynamite are make teenager but super hard rock! The comparison is Pussycat by Faster utter rubbish! Trixter has Faster Pussycat NOTHING in common! What a moronic comparison! Trixter be closer to the corner of Skid Row, Slaughter, and Warrant 's 'Cherry Pie'! How can you compare them with Faster Pussycat Trixter? Some people who call themselves hard rockers should first go to the ear doctor before they make their useless opinion here and take so that other readers in confusion!
||Date: January 3, 2011 at 11:29|
|"Damn Good" is a great song! It flat out rocks. These guys were pretty good, the name just killed them though.

|excellent hair metal release by TRIXTER and a very good one indeed!this one has a better production(JamesJimboBarton),guitar driven riffs,very well done songs but there is no hit in it and that is a problem.all the songs are pretty good and especially"damn good","power of love","waiting in a line" and " as the candle burns".a must have for sure for all hard rockers.the 90 s was a great era for hard rock music!!!!!!!
