i gotta tell ya...this is one of the best rock n roll albums of the early 90's. i recently found a copy at a used record store...i wore out the tape years ago...on line with appetite for destruction....luck however evaded these guys...they got lost in all the crap of the other 80's hair bands...to bad..

Well, well, I just found about this CD. There are some catchy songs but nothing that really gets you want to rock and roll and get crazy. Sometimes sound a little more pop than it should. Mickey Finn has a great voice though and a great range. I would suggest in total objectivity that you need to get this CD if you are a rock and roll lover but it's probably never going to the best one you ever had. Anyway, it is rock and that's what we're looking for right?

There really are some very good songs on 'Damned Nation' from a virtually unheard of band, Jetboy. Bluesy, guitar-driven rock and roll, pounding drums, good production, catchy, fun songs, talented musicians----what more can you ask for in a record? I'm glad I found this cd. My advice for those who are curious about this cd is buy it if you can find it; it is a very good disc and is less cheesy than most of the rock 'n' roll that had come out of the late 80's & early 90's. Later.

JETBOY is not a band that's going to erupt like a volcano, engulf everyone in its path, quickly metamorphose into ash. "Damned Nation", is proof, a flame can eventually sustain more heat and permanence than a flash fire! "Damned Nation" dosen't play it safe, aside from the no-no that they are a rock band whose singer sports a MOHAWK, they are a band whose influences are generally considered equally incongruous. In JETBOY'S case, though, this disregard for formula gives them a fearless freshness

"BullFrog Pond" is a slideguitar stomper with southern rock embellished with harmonica, bird chirps and various swamp noises, Mason-Dixon flavor tempering their Rock N' Roll with a flattering twist. "Moonlight" is unbridled wah-wah funk, and "Rock 'N' Roller" is catchy boogie with a quickie Elvis impersonation and a campy horn section beefing up the chorus. "Evil", with its sexy, mid-tempo bluesrock, and the contagious power pop of "Trouble Comes" are more straightforward.

JETBOY safely steers away from conventionality. "Damned Nation" should have been what made JETBOY fly!!! HI! The Frost here, did anyone notice all chicks including thrasher chicks wanted to do Fernie Rod!!!What is it about brunets as compared to us blondes? I must admit I've had my share of women so I can't complain. Five BEERS up to this swamp stomper!!! I think Ive had to much to drink!!!! LATERRRR!!!! Drag-in-Bones here, Damn glad its a holiday weekend!!!

D.I.B.--let me tell you something. If you are not ALREADY a professional reviewer, you could have fooled me. With your exceptional writing skills and tradmark , it's just great dude. This is only coming from a seventeen year old melodic rock fan but I'm telling you: you have a great writing talent and seem to have a great musical knowledge and I'm serious about that!!!

They toned down the glam on this one. Songs were all pretty good, but not up to the level of 'Feel the Shake". "Too Late" should have been a hit, though.

This CD was the worst by far for them. I don't know why they didn't release some of the stuff they had on Lost and Found and Make Some More Noise instead. This band rocks.

Why these guys were never bigger I don't know. Timing I guess. Love the hot rod intro to Heavy Chevy and I'll never forget gettin laid with Evil playing in the background. She was indeed. Great Great band that deserved a lot more attention than they got. Put the windows down crank it up and cruise on !!!!

This is the bands best album as it has a bit more edge and is less bubblegum. I loved the attitude and it has some superb songs although this band never reached the potential of there demo releases. The vocals can sound alittle weak on some tracks but overall its great. 8/10

This album is produced very well and Mickey sings his ass off. 'Down To The Bricks' must be played loud to be believed. 'Rock N Roller' will have you bobbing your head. I think 'Bullfrog Pond' is their best song. Great, great record. 8.5/10.

I have read the stories about the history of this band, how their original songs are very raw and sleazy. But on this disc, we get a very clean and safe album by a band that looks like it should be making something dirtier than this. "Evil" is a decent song, but the rest is boring. 3/10

To me this album is better than the debut and contained, at least, the beefier fuller sound I was hoping for on the debut. 'Heavy chevy' is a cool track and 'Too late' is an absolutely wonderful ballad. I love that track, and that's what sets this apart from the debut. In total, the songs are still average hard rockers to me, but that one light that shines in form of the ballad makes this worthwhile for me. Lovely track.

Much more better than their debut album 4 sure but still with some lacks of composition...,anyway songs such as "Moonlight"(cool beat),"Evil","Bullfrog Pond","Ready To Rumble" and the ballad "Too Late" possibly will catch your attention but do not expect somethin' out of this planet...shamely i think that Jetboy has always tried hard 2 be in the same line as Fasterpussycat,Ratt,L.A.Guns and so on but somehow they've never reached a level to be considered that way...as i said shamely they are underrated and with the status of "wanna be" Glam stars.85/100

Less glam and more (melodic) hard rock orientated. Good for me as i am not into sleaze glam. What a great opening tune.Stomp it is a Controlled in your face rock song as are Moonlight, Trouble Comes( best song !), Bullfrog Pond,Evil and Rock n Roller. Nice one ! 82/100

excellent release by JETBOY back in 90 !the sound is more pro than the debut and that s because of John Purdell and Duane Baron !ALL the songs are very good and i believe that this is a classic of the hair metal era!"stomp it(down to the bricks)","moonlight","evil","too late" and "bullfrog pond " are excellent songs!
