| I've been lukewarm on Black Stone Cherry at times throughout their career, especially early on. Magic Mountai really impressed me though, and Family Tree is almost as good. Same loose, rock 'n' roll feel, with much less of the drop-tuned, mopey/earnest southern-grunge that plagued their early albums. Like Magic Mountain, we still get that one dumb, hackneyed pop-country song ("Southern Fried Friday Night") and the maudlin ballad ("My Last Breath"), but pretty much all the rest of the songs are money in my book. My favorites are "Bad Habit," "Burnin'," "New Kinda Feelin," "Dancin' In The Rain," "Ain't Nobody," "You Got The Blues" and "I Need A Woman." Good stuff!
