My favorite instrumental album ever, it has excellent melodies and guitar playing but the songs are never compromised for the sake of showing off...

A VER.. PARA DISCOS DEBUTS PREFIERO A MACALPINE,SATRIANI O VINNIE MOORE,AUNQUE SI BIEN NO ES DEMASIADO ORIGINAL,SE DEJA ESCUCHAR CON AGRADO.NADA DE LO QUE ENCUENTRES AQUI NO HA SIDO ESCUCHADO EN OTRO LADO,PERO EL TIO SE LAS ARREGLA MAS QUE BIEN.PROLIJO,BIEN PRODUCIDO, Y OBVIAMENTE BIEN TOCADO.SI TE VAN LOS INSTRUMENTALES,HABRA DE CONFORMARTE.LEJOS DE SER IMPRESCINDIBLE,TIENE SU VALOR.7/10. carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

to my consideration this is a great instrumental album because it tramsmits a lot, besides i find it very original and great passages whithout falling in to the typical shtty tapping(comeescalas),from santander-spain

Actually came across Mr Firkins back in the early 90s when he did a promotion tour for Yamaha (I think it was Yamaha at least). He did a demo show in a local music store and I instantly got caught by his guitar play!

This guy does rule. It's hard to believe he used to be my dad's guitar teacher before he started making music. That was a long time ago.

If you put this album in your collection "It will melt everything else that you own" After 15 years it still holds up as the best guitar instrumental album I have ever heard. To this day I have not heard anyone cover that much ground, with such a diverse approach to their playing. If anyone has Howling iguanas and wishes to trade for other guitar music email me. myiguana@hotmail.com Now stop reading this message board and buy cds from Michael Lee Firkins.
