Alright you REAL Metal heads, here it is, one of the wildest 80's glam\sleaze\trashy hard rock bands to never get a big record deal, they were huge on the california metal scene, and I know a lot of you know who they are and probably just gave up looking for them, Regent St. Claire is an animal, and gives you people looking for Trash rock what you want, by far the most witty and clever sleaze lyrics your ever going to find, songs like Don't Tell me Bout your Boyfriend, and Good as it gets... |

are so crafty, you wont know if you want to laugh or think "why didn't I think of that)myfavoriteby farGood as it Get's for a girl like you,,and Ithink every guy can relate, most people are familiar with Babes In Toyland, the first album, but the second album Another Dark Carnival was every bit as good, if not better, it just didnt get the proper push, so it went under the radar, but on this Box set you have I think pretty much everything ever recorded by St.Claire and Blak. These guys are Killer. |

Have to agree completely with the above comments. Great great great hard/trash rock by a completely underrated band and I treasure my two vinyl albums by them. This CD retrospective is one of the best of any band that I have, I really do love it. The difference between CB and a lot of the other bands around the trash scene at the time is that they had great songs...yeah songs not just riffs with dumb lyrics, but great melody and as Leykis says wit! Grab this and checkout what you missed out on. |

I also completely agree with the above comments. This is pure killer Glam/Sleaze/Trash rock of the finest order. No filler all killer songs here. Their 2 albums are a treasure to have and also this retrospect 3 CD box set collection covering their career. Regent St. Claire is the mastermind behind Castle Blak with his awesome ability to write killer songs. Also check out Blak, Monster Island, and Candy Apple Blak material. This is a must in your collection. Rated 10/10. |

Its pretty fucking sad when a band of this talent just goes by the wayside, while bands like Crisis Party, and even G&R and PBF, and most of the current shit that's passing as Trash rock, or sleaze metal, it's all generic regurgitated bullshit, this right here was one of the most unique, original, and intelligent bands to ever perform, I'm to the point where I'm beginning to just write it off as Castle Blak was just way to intelligent for most people to truly pick up on people just don't get it, and that's not on the band, anyone who claims to be a fan of music, then just blows these guys off tell me all I need to know. |
