Sleaze metal like Kix meets LA Guns. The vocals don't do anything for me as well as the production...drums sound horrible for a kivel release. |

I didn't have a problem with the production, but then I do have a reputation for lack of taste. be that as it may, this is a solid release IMHO, some really fine tracks, and a few fillers. Definitely worth having if you dig the sleaze vibe done with a touch of class. My fav tracks after several listens are 1,3,4,5,10 & 13. Love the vibe on Slip Into My Groove. |

Cool, groovy hard rock. I like the vibe and damn fool, these guys have it goin' on. This kind of style isn't really what I frequent most often, but for what they do, they do it well. If you like Kingofthehill these guys may be worth checking out. Good groove-driven hard rock. |

Good call Pete. I don't have a problem with the production. But, I don't have what many would call an "exquisite listening ear". But, I know what I like and this is it. I agree with Pete again. A couple GREAT tracks, a lot of good ones, and a couple I could have done without. "Girl Next Door" is a classic! Worth the price of admission for that song. I love it! |

If I'm not mistaken, the songs here are just re-packaged demos from a local Chicago band, so that might answer the supposed questionable production value. Still pretty good stuff considering. They definitely were better than some bands who made it to the national level. I think the songs here are all recordings from the late 80's/very early 90's. |

excellent collection of songs for SMASH ALLEY ,a hair metal act from Chicago that didnt got signed even though they had a certain potential!guitar driven commercial groovy hard rock that will satisfy everyone with its solid performance and with the guys sound somewhere between BABYLON A.D. ,AEROSMITH &STRIKE TWICE!"slip into my groove","girl next door","child of fire" and "we all bleed the same" are great songs indeed!recommended for lovers of the hair metal movement! |
