what a surprise.what honor!!!!the first comment is for me ,a little frenchie fan of southern rock.i m proud and very surprised cause this record is a classic of melodic southern rock.for me it s the best realise from johnny van zant alone even if the two others records are really a s incredible that s there is no comment before me.this record is a bomb .absoluty essential for every fan of melodic rock.hey friends it s time to wake up.don t waste your time with poor cd s this album is a classic bomb of melodic southern rock.

the new productor kevin elson (journey)give a new approach for the band.this jewel is more commercial, more hard fm (without keyboard) and less southern than their brilliant debut album.the guests are jeff carlisi (38 special),steve perry and jonathan cain (journey).with the help of these three legends it s impossible to make an average album."round two"is simply one of the best record of the 80 s!!!!!!!!!thanx to candy records for this exceptional reissue with a very complete booklett wich explain us, with all the details, the building, the history of this masterpiece.

I have not heard this one yet. How does it stack up to the phenomenal VAN ZANT debut album?

From: 123charpenay Date: April 10, 2014 at 12:55
hello doug.for me "round two" is better than van zant (1985).if you are fan of van zant you can buy closed eyes "round two".it s my humble opinion.i can add that the van zant live in jacksonville king biscuit is exceptional(better than van zant 1985 studio).always my own feeling.of course van zant 1985 stay an excellent disc.
