Not bad, but not that great either. Some really good tracks here namely 'Oh Samantha', 'Good Things Take Time', 'Life Got In The Way' & 'Is He Better Than Me', but also a lot of filler & one downright Awful track in 'Blue Monday one of THE worst AOR songs I have ever had the dis-pleasure of hearing & most definately 'Turkey Of The Year' award winner. On a positive note, mostly all the vocal performances are pretty good, with Eric Martin winning Top marks - haven't heard him this good for ages.

...For a famed Producer like Zito, production standards vary from the acceptable, to the not that great, with the whole disc having an uneven feel about it. An average release with 6 good tracks, 5 very very average and one downright laughable. Absolutely No awards years end will be won with this guaranteed!!!!

I agree with Jez's comments above. I just add that the Prism cover 'Nightmare', by Eddie Money, is worse than poor. Tracks sung by Eric Martin are good, but the whole album is less than average in spite of the awesome line-up...

Hmm, I like this album! 2 beautifull ballads. 9/10

Excellent return of one of the most important characters on the music scene from the 80's and 90's. Without a doubt, one of the best releases of this year. Classy stuff. Recommended!!! "Is he better than me?" WOW!! Outstanding as well as "Avalon"...I can't wait to get home to listen to it again.

This doesnt quite hit the spot for me. Whereas the Radioactive albums integrate lots of different musicians/vocalists onto one disc & generally make it sound seamless,Richie Zito can't. It sounds like what it is; a lot of leftover tracks he dug out when Frontiers came calling. Some are awful, most are decent & worth a listen, but there are lots of better releases in 2006 you need to get before this. Eric Martin sounds great,as do Danny Vaughn & Phil Bardowell, but overall its just average. 6.5/10.

kinda like the Ambition disk for me, not bad, just not hitting me that much for some reason, Deacon street II is much better for me, again, some good songs, just not enough to carry the cd to repeated listenings for me.

PRODUCIDO POR RICHIE ZITO Y FRONTIERS RECORDS!!! SI BIEN NO FUE LO QUE SE TENÍA PREVISTO, EL PROYECTO DE ZITO CUMPLE LO YA ESTABLECIDO DEL SONIDO AOR/ROCK MELODICO, DE ESTOS ULTIMOS AÑOS! EL APORTE DE EXCELENTES CANTANTES EN LA HISTORIA DEL AOROCK, LYNN TURNER,MI (favorito)sin duda JOSEPH WILLIAMS,DANNY VAUGHN,HUGO,ERIC MARTIN,EDDIE MONEY! LOS UNICOS BUENOS TEMAS QUE PUEDO RESCATAR LOS TRACKS: 01-HUGO,02-TURNER,04-JOSEPH,05-DANNY,06-ERIC,07-GIORGIO,09&11-PHILIP!

COMO VERAN QUE A ESTE PROYECTO LE FALTÓ MAYOR ELAVORACION EN LOS TEMAS,SE SALVAN ALGUNOS TEMAS,SOLO POR TENER A CANTANTES RECONOCIDOS EN EL MEDIO AORERO! ESPEREMOS QUE EN EL 2007,LOS PROYECTOS TENGAN MEJOR DEDICACION Y UNA BUENA ELAVORACION EN LO MUSICAL!!! Y HACERNOS RECORDAR ESE MITICO SONIDO DE LOS 80´S!!! CON LA GENIALIDAD DE BUENOS CANTANTES E INSPIRACION PARA COMPONER LOS TEMAS!!! SALUDOS DESDE LIMA-PERÚ... ATTE:MEVERICKAOR

Couple of good songs here but the rest is just so average and boring. Nothing really inspiring, the same has been done thousands of times. Especially with such a huge line-up you should be able to do much much better!

I have an MLP from an AOR band called AVALON "everyman a king". An AOR Masterpice! Far better than this Avalon.
