Like 'em or hate 'em, this band write and play damned good songs, simple as that really, and that's all that matters in my book. This new one treads a similar path to the previous 4 and has some..ahem 'Monster' tunes on board. 'Discoevil' 'Rock Police', 'ZombieRawkMachine',Jap bonus track 'Lord Have Mercy'and the rollicking title track all kick major ass and will have you singing along for days afterwards. Brilliant band, brilliant album enough said. |

I'll take Jez's second choice "hate'em". O Lordi, the album cover of a demonic 'Chucky' getting lucky gives you a clue of what's in store. This group is on a major label(Sony) according to this post? I see the band on the appropriately titled 'The End Records'. Are they big in Insane Clown Possie circles? Mr. Lordi makes UDO(Accept)sound like a velvet crooner. Play this at a Halloween party and use the cd as a drink coaster the other 351 days a year. Move over MANOWAR, GWAR and prepare yourself for MONSTER MUMMY METAL! Lordi explains: "Create the band that you would like to see on stage. Write the songs you'd love to sing along to." Band members Amen the unstoppable mummy, Awa the vampire countess, OX the hellbull, and Kita the alien Manbeast, join Mr. Lordi to form an unstoppable rock force bent on taking over the world. Could the band release a album in their native Finnish language (RammStein) so they can take over the world covertly? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NG3bzjVz_A |
