Well,i also think that this album is better than first one,it seems to me that guitar sound is little bit heavier and songs are really melodic and pleasure to listen to. On first album there was night of passion, which was a standout track,on this one we don't have maybe a big hit like that but as a whole album it's better. Anyway,it's a great follow up to the debut and a promise that these guys will only get better |

I have to admit this is a slightly disappointing follow up to the debut. It's pretty good, but way too many fillers, IMO, and for lack of a better word, the "nordic" sound of some of the earlier tracks is just not pleasant. There are some good tracks at the end, like 'Heaven's closing in' and 'Kiss goodbye', as well as BY FAR the album highlight, 'Shine'. But before the last few songs nothing stands out at all. Decent-ish album, but nowhere near as good as the debut. |

I couldnt disagree more....I think this is much stronger than the debut. The beginning of 'Metal will.....' was pretty disappointing (apart from Night of Passion of course), whereas here we have 3 good catchy up beat rockers. Following that is the killer combo of 'Thunderball' and 'Reach the Sky' both of which I love. The end of the album is simply superb - tracks 9,10 & 11 are melodic rock bliss. Great choruses and excellent solos - all 3 are stand out songs in 2007! |

Once again, we agree, Lennie. Overall a better album than the debut and without doubt one of the higlights of 2007. Less fillers, a slightly beefier sound and just as many highlights as "Metal Will Stand Tall". Flesh & Blood, Thunderball and as you said, Lennie, the ending with Band Of Brothers, Heaven's Closing In and Kiss Goodbye is immense. Sheer class! Norgren is on fire on those songs. |

I have both their albums and really like them equally. Awesome rockin' music with superb melodies and a great singer. The debut may be ever so slightly better but too close to call. The only problem I have is the name of the band (The Poodles), could it be more lame and fluffy? The name reminds me of pop bands like "The Cars" or "The B-52's" not a heavier rocking band like this. It may be only my problem but it just bugs me, sorry to say. Other than that they are great and I rate them 9/10. |

I have listened to this album about 25 times now and have really been trying to find a way to consider it a great album but it does not compare to their first effort which I loved. It just doesn't have that stand out track that blows you away on it. It's not a bad disc just lacks any killer tracks. It will certianly appeal to many from a commercial standpoint but lack the originality of the first album. 78/100. |

Loved the debut. This one is just "very good". It just doesn't have the overall balance that the first had IMO. The first sounded so fresh while this one has too many modern influences. It's still pretty good and Jakob is one hell of a singer. Get back to the 80's sound and you'll be much better off. 87/100 |

Not as consistent as their debut but still enjoyable 2 listen 2..."Flesh And Blood","Seven Seas","Band Of Brother" and "Kiss Goodbye" are really good tracks...the rest of the album is some kind of ups and downs but if you are open minded then you should know how 2 rate the rest...as 4 me...85/100 |

This one is even better than the first disc. I can't say enough good things about this band...they just have a great 80's sound. |
