John O' Banion's 1981 debut album is produced by Joey Carbone and Richie Zito who also play keyboards and guitar on the recording. Bobby Kimball supplies backing vocals and you find Dennis Belfield on bass and Carlos Vega behind the drums. Musically it's a very nice mix of Westcoast and AOR with O' Banions clear and powerful vocals on top of it all. There's some Toto similarities, especially in "Love You Like I Never Loved Before" but I think it also reminds of the first Franke & The Knockouts album and David Roberts - All Dressed Up. A highly recommended prime example of early 80's Westcoast/AOR fronted by a great singer.
