This group may yet re-appear on stage with a world-wide tour. They've been developing great new material that fits the times we're in and the directions we're moving. I regularly request their tracks on our local FM stations but we need some donated CDs to give to the stations so they can be played! If you want to help this effort, contact me by e-mail: afn34337@afn.org ( greenman rocking in gainesville treehouse nursery with sprits of the land )

No. Sorry but this is a very second rate, post grunge, poorly produced album. Try Giant or Tall Stories instead.

Poor production perhaps but the songs are tight and well written. Too bad this is the only thing they released, I'd love to hear more.

Not as bad as Harvey and RainStar2k are making it out to be. Sure, production isn't of the Hill/Mutt/Stone variety but it isn't piss poor either. The band sounds very similar to Red Dawn or Tour De Force. I'd even go as far as to say that Paul Daniels sounds a bit like Steve Walsh of Kansas (especially on the ballads).

picked this up today from the local secondhand cd shop. i really like it. well thats my first impression anyway. if i was going to campare it to something then it would be prophet(vocally)giant(musically) im not saying they are identical but its close enough to get an idea and they do write very catchy tunes.

i think, Rox Diamond is a very good band, great album, catchy songs, some classy tunes, good instrumentation. this album also revealed many kansas (vocally), survivor, giant influences..the album flopped completely in spite of good sound. i liked this album great potential. classy AOR. ''never too late'' is my favourite tune.

for me these guys always sounded like Kiss. Average songs nothing really special.

Man there are some moronic comments here - "sound like Kiss" - "Post Grunge , Poorly Produced" - WAKE UP PEOPLE - THIS IS A GREAT AOR / MELODIC HARD ROCK RELEASE!! Certainly better than 95% of shit the USA has released since 1992. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO FANS OF PROPHET AND ARCARA!! 9 out of 10.

..well the truth is more probably (I'm sure the astute will appreciate)is somewhere between the extremes of 'poor production' and 'aor brilliance' cited above...worth checking out certainly but looking at the track listing above I can't actually recall any of the tunes in my head...apart from 'Get the lead out' which is actually a great rock riff..not AOR at all..!! (this song)..a White Sister..ish sort of record..although more frenetic...oh I don't know..8 out of 10...

To my personal opinion, one of the best class/a.o.r releases ever, and one of the most underrated bands. Really miss them. Their cd will always shine in my personal collection. Got a copy of their live in Japan video release lately and it was an emotional trip back through their music. It' s just my opinion but these guys were absolutely fantastic. Would like to know if they' re still aronund

I just won this cd on ebay and I can't wait for it to get here. I have had a cdr of this for years and now I will finally own the real thing. What a great cd!! Also...I see Dwain Miller play all the time with his cover band Dr. Ruth. They do great classic rock covers and the singer is Robert Mason. Great band even if all they do are covers. Check out their web site at: www.dr-ruth.com.

Yep this was a great CD one of my all time favs Very much like Kansas, Foreigner, Danger Danger and Bon Jovi I also bought the 'Live DVD' and although they weren't around for that long, on stage it looked like they'd been playing live together for years augmented in the 'live' line-up by Impelliteri's Phil Wolfe on keys. The live versions of 'Never too late' and 'Heart of mine' are especially awesome Come back lads and give us another record soon!

I know for a fact that Rox Diamond are in pre-production for their new CD. I am photographing them for the CD project this week. It's the first time they have all the original members have been in the same city, Los Angeles, since 199?.Paul's voice is better than ever, and the songs are strong!

There's a lot to like about this L.A based outfit. Heavy as horses, but with a glossy sheen not unlike the bands Lion or Leatherwolf. For the most part the songs are heavy, melodic, and very much upfront in the mix. Kevin Bach's solos get a special mention too, very clean, nice tone, and tasteful. There are very few weak points on this album, and it was released at a time when grunge was just taking off, so Rox Diamond didn't really get the play they deserved.

This CD is just f*cking excellent! I only got it about a year ago, but man I love it. I don't think there's one filler at all on it, and if you like your hard rock melodic, with a commercial edge, then you've come to the right place. Awesome album and I'm going to put it on tonight. I love it!

Yeah, I like this too. It's one of those discs that I can't find anything wrong with. Well produced IMHO contrary to a few of the opinions above (did they listen to the same CD as I did?). Good musicianship, vocals, harmonies, hooks, etc. Just wish I had found it earlier...

I got the re-issue of this one the other day and can only echo what I said before. Brilliant melodic hard rock songs, especially the first 5 or so, and the re-issue also has a very good (hopefully new?) live track called 'Rock bottom' which is on par with this stuff. Does 'Lovin' you' contain the biggest hook in music history?! Man that song just blows my mind... easily my fave of an already excellent disc. Hugely recommended and with the recent re-issue everyone should own a copy!

Lovin'You (mi favorita), Never Too Late(que balada), Familiar Strangers, You're Not the Only One,... buen album.

Just found Album Network Tune-Up Unsigned Bands Vol. 1 (May 16, 1988) and couldn't believe my ears. "You're Not the Only One" features Paul Daniels in a pre-Rox Diamond band called CASANOVA (different from the German band). As good as anything he did with RD!
