This album played a fundamental role in the history of metal. "Red, hot and heavy, "Queen of dreams", "Place in the night" all truly great metal songs

This kller release from Denmark's Pretty Maids is a classic example of 80's metal. "Back to Back" is probably the most well known song but the other's are good as well. I think they deserved more success than they got, especially considering the year of release. Must also say, I've always liked the voice of Ronnie Atkins. It's very melodic, yet powerful. If you want to check out some Pretty Maids, this and "Future World" is a good place to start.

Yes, the trailblazin' full-length debut from DK's finest band ever! Taking the year of its release into consideration it's a real jawbreaker of an album. The keys give the songs another dimension. This causes the album to stand out among the 100's of bands sounding alike at that time...Must say I'm proud to be from their hometown! Living legends in the world of Heavy Metal! All hail Maids! Hotspots: "Back 2 back", "Red, hot...", "Place in..." & "Cold Killer".

Does anybody remember movie "Demons" and what was the track that was played on, when the audience went crazy in theather... Thats right, Night Danger! This album sounds best in LP, that´s why I never get it on CD.

Just got this after only having a couple MP3's. This rocks! Very heavy for the most part, but I've always been amazed at their ability to be very melodic when they want to as well. Well worth a look if you haven't heard it yet. I'm risking retribution I'm sure, but it's also not as "busy" as some of the other Scandinavian bands I listen to. It's not a constant barrage of double kick and blazing arpeggios, just good, solid, well played metal.

This is actually the last CD I got from these guys, having owned the rest of their collection for ages and loving each peice of it (Bar the first album, which I'd still love). Basically, this is just a great heavy rock CD. My faves are the title track and 'Waitin' for the time'. Killer band, great CD.

Considering the year of recording........This has to one of the best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal albums ever. There isnt a dull moment on it. Its on my personal list of Worldclass albums of alltimes. On that list you can also fint Destroyer-Kiss, Van Halen-1, Alligator Stew-1, Dr Feelgood-MC,Live In Japan-DP. Its a superior pile of music. a must.

Not really shure I like this one it's a bit to 'Heavy Metal' and really should be on brutalmetal 'Waitin' for time' is a bit more hard rock though. A place in the night is quite good but this is just not what im into, to much metal and not enough rock you guys have given perfect reviews "its a Heavy Metal album not an AOR/Hard Rock album" so I will have to pass on this CD...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

A real smörgåsbord of sounds here, with grimy grebo metal a la the Rods and Anvil rubbing shoulders with high tech hard rock and proto type euro power metal creating a confusing but highly enjoyable slice of metal that sounds as vital today as in 1984 when originally released.90/100

A heavy metal monument. Yet songs like A place in the night and Waiting for the time are melodic arena hard rockers of the higher standards. The vocals are stunning, Atkins is pure magic. His raw parts on Red Hot are far better than on Future world.

Classic album. The title track and A Place In The Night are absolutely fantastic. The rest of it is consistently very good though.
