The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Pretty Maids CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Pretty Maids are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

The Pretty Maid coffers must be low as they already have a CD/DVD release within a year of Motherland (2013). The album consists of 4 new tracks and re-recorded songs from 1995-2006 (The PM lean years). I guess with the band's resurgence in popularity with their last 2 albums they decided to strike while the iron is "red hot & heavy". The band mentioned that their 80's material is sacred and many fans don't want to hear P.M. vintage material tampered with. I agree as 99% of make over albums suck. Most of the covered songs here are not exactly Pretty Maids Prime-Time so no injustice has been done. Many songs have a God or anti-God theme depending on your beliefs. The 4 new tracks are decent to good - "Deranged" "My Soul To Take" "Nuclear Boomerang" "A Heart Without A Home" which I'm assuming are left over material from previous albums. The reworked tracks although not great to begin with IMO do have a little more punch. I think fans would have settled for a EP release to tide them over.

Not bad. Some new songs and the rest are reworked older songs. Not bad but I would have liked to have heard a new lp full of new songs. Like MettalllianStallion posted above the four new tracks are decent. Pretty Maids should have a new album out this year and I hope it keeps up with the foundation they have laid over the years.
