|The Pretty Maid coffers must be low as they already have a CD/DVD release within a year of Motherland (2013). The album consists of 4 new tracks and re-recorded songs from 1995-2006 (The PM lean years). I guess with the band's resurgence in popularity with their last 2 albums they decided to strike while the iron is "red hot & heavy". The band mentioned that their 80's material is sacred and many fans don't want to hear P.M. vintage material tampered with. I agree as 99% of make over albums suck. Most of the covered songs here are not exactly Pretty Maids Prime-Time so no injustice has been done. Many songs have a God or anti-God theme depending on your beliefs. The 4 new tracks are decent to good - "Deranged" "My Soul To Take" "Nuclear Boomerang" "A Heart Without A Home" which I'm assuming are left over material from previous albums. The reworked tracks although not great to begin with IMO do have a little more punch. I think fans would have settled for a EP release to tide them over.

|Not bad. Some new songs and the rest are reworked older songs. Not bad but I would have liked to have heard a new lp full of new songs. Like MettalllianStallion posted above the four new tracks are decent. Pretty Maids should have a new album out this year and I hope it keeps up with the foundation they have laid over the years.
