destined to infuriate lovers of max, or for the matter, fans of kim mitchell produced to date, this, dove headlong into mellowness, sheen, simplicity, and trully commited doses of g-rated innocence rock with the inane paean to golden youth, -patio lanterns-shakin is a bit of a piss of as we find a personally who always talked the big rebel storyessentially selling out

Excellent 2nd album, alot mellower than 'Akimbo' although that is no criticism. 'In My Shoes','Easy To Tame', 'Alana Loves Me' are the top tunes and Kim is again on top form.

How can anybody not like this album?

From: Brandon Date: April 18, 2004 at 13:20
Can anyone understand what the hell martin popoff (3 spots up) is talking about? This is a great album, Patio Lanterns still remains my all time favorite K.M. tune and it still gets pleanty of air play in Canada. Great album.

Kim Mitchell is an awesome rocker. It would be amazing to see him perform with Helix, Lee Aaron and Trooper. Excellent bar bands.

Another magical album from Kim. Maybe not quite as rocky as the first but Hitting the Ground certainly hits the mark. It seems a more complete album to me and Patio Lanterns is a classic (one of my mates thought he was singing "Mario Lanza" for some reason...doh!). Alana Loves Me has an excellent hook/chorus. The only song I'm not over keen on is Cameo Spirit ...but maybe I'm a jerk....Excellent release.

Yep Very Good Hard Rock/ & AOR of course otro buen trabajo del Gran Kim Mitchell y del Gran Peter por supuesto, encontramos desde Hard Rock con algunos toques sureņos hasta el Cruzado con el AOR y alli radica el verdadero placer del album In My Shoes(Joyasa eso es un cruce descomunal yo vivo por temas asi y fumandose un cigarrito una delicia!!! wow!!!), In Your Arms(que buen balada), Hitting the Ground(my second fav) muy buen album con variados estilos 4/5.

This album is a total masterpiece from Kim Mitchell. After roughly 20 spins every track just shines with Mitchell magic. Very emotional, very melodic.

From: rbrigade Date: February 11, 2009 at 15:17
This is all retarded poppy useless uninspired whimpy absolut zero pathetic lame awful. But what drove me nuts is the intro to Alana loves me, it's so frustrating... How can someone write such bullshit and get away with it? How on earth does this get so many great ratings and not one bad? Where are the guys that rate decent albums with 15 and 20/100 when this rubbish get's 87/100? I am really outraged with this one, was expecting something really good and I just wasted my time. Does this one deserve the same rating with Red Dawn? Shame on all of us...

From: masmusic Date: February 12, 2009 at 18:17
rbrigade, Sounds like you have a vendetta against K.M. This is a great CD! Patio Lanterns was a huge hit! Maybe you should give it another try?

From: rbrigade Date: February 13, 2009 at 9:38
Sorry but I don't usually waste my time on uninspired, sparkless, emotionless stuff. If this had a rating of 60-70/100 I wouldn't even bother commenting, but the 88/100 hit me on the nerves I guess...I don't have anything against Kim Mitchell, only against the music he was selling on ''Shaking..''. Maybe I will like some of his other stuff, haven't listened to anything else yet.

From: tentacle Date: March 9, 2009 at 12:55
Kim Mitchell is not for the narrow minded. You should probably stick with your Red Dawn albums rbrigade. Mitchell emotionless? That part took all the credibility from your post...
