Kidd Blue is one of those late eighties Arena style hair bands that could compete with RATT, WARRANT or STARZ easily. Excellent vocals and the songs are quite melodic at times.......many of the tracks from this release are actually demos, so don't expect a top production, but, the songs to help make up for that.

Oh man am I in love with this disc. 2004: Blind date, 2005: Hotshot, 2006: Kidd Blue. If you want perfectly executed 80's commercial hard rock, look no further. This is ESSENTIAL. I want to pick out some of the gems, but they all are. 'Midnight train' is one of my faves, but my clear-cut standout winner is 'Crystal eyes'. Absolutely perfect melodic hard rock. I think 'Fatal attraction' is an average filler, but the other 9 tracks are all sensational. Highly recommended.

Very very average hard rock album... Nothing special here, buy it only if you are a great fan of bands like Ratt and early Warrant (first album)...

From: WASP1 Date: June 26, 2006 at 18:50
This was a good album overall. Just solid commercial hard rock, maybe a little like Firehouse and Hurricane. I believe they are signed on to deliver another album of older material for Metal Mayhem at some point.

Another one is on the way, from what I've heard. I like this pretty well, and the production isn't bad for what were apparently demos/unreleased tunes. It's certainly no "Norway", for certain. My fave is CRIMES OF THE HEART-pure 80s pop metal bliss.

Excellent 80's area Hard Rock CD from Kidd Blue. This CD just Roxx. Great vocals, razor sharp guitar playing with some killer solo's. The songs are melodic and catchy. Their sound is similar to Blind Date, Hot Shot, Gangway, early Bon Jovi,Hurricane,Ratt,Warrant,Danger Danger, Starz, Dokken and Black Rose. I found no fillers here. Looking forward to their next cd which is in the works( they have more songs for a possible 3rd release)and a DVD of live and rarities coming out shortly. Rated 9.5/10.

hi the game are you talking about "Gangway - My Girl And Me" album or is another Gangway band? tell me if is true then where can i find this album.

From: the game Date: August 13, 2006 at 18:14
Hey Rafo Phoenix-The Gangway I am talking about is a band from the US that I have is a 8 track demo. here is a track list of songs Drag Doll, Alley Cats, What A Shame, Bad Bones, Cry, In A Word, For me For You and Get Out Of Town. They are great with a Kidd Blue, Hotshot and Danger Danger sound. ttyl

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: August 14, 2006 at 11:42
ah OK the game then is another Gangway band thanks for your answer.

Great album! I had never heard of this band untily recently. I'm aware that this album was released this year (2006), but what year was this album recorded? The sound and look of the band seem to be mid-late eighties (1987?), or is Kidd Blue a current retro glam band? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks!

From: z4roxx Date: February 26, 2007 at 14:06
I did expect a weak old release and i am listening to a very good melodick hard rock material with a sleaze touch sometimes. These guys remind me a little to Blind Date, very very good cd and recommended one!9/10.

From: headbanger4life Date: February 28, 2007 at 4:45
Fantastic album. The production is a little weak but the killer songs more than make up for it. This is total 80's commercial hard rock. All the above comparisons sound about right to me. Take a little bit of all these bands and you get Kidd Blue. I hope they have more material and that it gets released. A band like this should not go unnoticed.

From: z4roxx Date: February 28, 2007 at 16:06
I am quite agree with you headbanger4life even if fantastic maybe it's a little more. It's very good, only some track has a different and bad production, most of the material here is of a decent/good quality.I think there were in the end of the 80's/start 90's thousand bands like Kidd Blue.BTW it's a must for any melodick hard rock fan indeed,I also agree for their commercial vein......

From: Remastered Reason Date: July 18, 2007 at 19:52
Any fan of hair metal will enjoy this disc. Nothing groundbreaking & definitly 80's formulated but i'll take it anyday.

From: Scrounger Date: July 20, 2008 at 9:13
These tracks were originally recorded around 1986, which is an absolute crime that it has taken 20 years for them to see the light of day on what is the band's first album. All the songs on here are stand-alone great tracks! No filler at all! Vocals and guitars are all superb and it pains me, because these guys are a BILLLION times better than oh, say...Bon Jovi. It puzzles me how Kidd Blue did not get signed all those years ago, they could've been huge for at least a couple of years! I've had the pleasure of speaking to Bobby Blue about 2 years ago and he's a great guy. If you like melodic rock, hard rock, hair metal BUY THIS! It's worth every penny!

From: JamesEagle Date: February 25, 2010 at 16:25
This band makes a great sound, this is a pretty good album. I like tracks 1, 3, 4, 6 and 10, the rest I found quite forgettable. Favourite track is probably 'Restless Eyes', 'Crystal Tears' is very nice too.

From: andi Date: March 4, 2012 at 6:16
Absolute great Hardrock Album Style like Shy´s misspenth Youth and Warrants Dog Eat Dog.....also similar to Slaughter!!Great!!Kick Ass!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 24, 2012 at 20:15
Delbert's comment is quite accurate but the only issue is that comparing this band with the likes of Ratt or Warrant is way too much IMO...i've just gotten the expanded edition of this year 2012 reissue with some bonus tracks...a good band with some highlights but there were so many bands around with almost the same style but far inferior than the ones that really made it back then that for me it was just "another band"..."Hold Me" is the song i liked the most but there are some other ones that are good such as "Big Trouble","Crimes Of The Heart"(catchy),"Crystal Tears","Restless Heart","Feel Your Touch"(catchy),"Come In From The Rain"(b/t),"Mama Don't"(b/t) & "Bye Bye Baby"(b/t)...enjoyable,right,but just that...still it gets a good rate o' mine 87/100

From: hair metal again Date: April 2, 2020 at 8:54
Sensational 80s commercial hard rock music for KIDD BLUE and imo this is one of the best indie releases of all time!their sound is somewhere between ICON,HEAVENS EDGE and TROUBLE TRIBE with songs that were written in the mid 80s!"mid night rider","crystal eyes","big trouble"& "hole me" are the highlights of this gem!buy it at any cost
