If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Shy CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Shy are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Thanks to whoever submitted this! It's nowhere near 'Excess...' but worth a listen as the style takes shape on this one...'The Hunter' is great!

You're welcome. Could use the catalog number if you have it. I have never heard this one but I may break down and get it.

I dont have all these tracks (only first 9) on my vinyl, but these ones are good. Not good as in Excess, like 'Scandinavia' sayed, but fine keyboards and couple of catchy tunes are worth for buy this debut.

Great cd!

This was only our second album, the songs are a bit over produced and polished beyond recognition, but that said its still a good album not truely what Shy wanted to be but worth a listen. To fully appriciate Shy check out www.shy-england.4t.com

I still have the t-shirt that came with the initial pressings of the album.

Much Improved after the slightly dodgy (make that very dodgy) debut. 'Reflections' is a great ballad and 'Was I Wrong' an excellent Rocker. Dips a bit in the middle, but overall a good solid release- The best was to come next!!!!

OTRO GRAN ALBUM, A AQUELLOS AMANTES DE ESTE ESTILO TIENEN QUE CONSEGUIRLO, ESTE GRUPO MAS TIENE UN ESTILO ESCANDINAVO Y ESO LOS HACE MAS GRANDES, POR AHI LA MAYORIA LOS METE CON EL SONIDO AMERICANO, PARA MI NADA QUE VER UN AIRE ESCANDINAVO LO MEJOR.

From: Kim HP Date: December 27, 2004 at 8:47
When I first heard this album, I was quite dissapointed. I was expecting something similar to "Excess All Areas", but to me this is nowhere near the brilliance of that release. I've grown to like a few tracks on this cd ("Reflections" and "Brave the Storm" in particular) but mostly this is just decent AOR. Worth a listen though.

Este disco es una de las obras maestras de la msica. Temas mgicos como caught in the act, was I wrong, the hunter... son todos buenos!!! Nunca entender como Shy no es una de las bandas ms famosas de este rollo. Hicieron discos enormes y les conocemos "cuatro gatos". Este disco no puede faltar en la discografa de ningn "Jebi".

From: JUAN SG Date: April 10, 2005 at 22:01
Coincido en cuanto al sonido mas proximo al "HARD-AOR" Escandinavo.Buen disco, con temazos como "HOLD ON TO YOUR LOVE",aunque en lineas generales a aos luz de "EXCESS ALL AREAS"; "MISSPENT YOUTH" o "UNFINISHED BUSINESS"..6-10

From: metal4life Date: December 2, 2009 at 19:28
A middle of the road record for Shy - not their best but not their worst either. Brave the Storm is an incredible track and shows why Tony is such a sought after vocalist in Hard Rock / Metal. Truly England's answer to Geoff Tate! Other highlights include Hold On To Your Love and The Hunter.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 28, 2011 at 21:01
A nice following up to their debut one but perhaps with a more enthusiastic side ...as some comments above stated, this one has a more polished sound and a very dedicated production which makes the release quite a blast!...best tracks for me are "Hold On (To Your Love)","My Apollo"(catchy),"Reflections"(nice ballad),"Brave The Storm","Caught In The Act"(nice solid mid tempo) & "Was I Wrong?"...91/100

From: hair metal again Date: December 5, 2014 at 3:17
much under rated one by the very fine SHY that surely deserved more!the production by Tony Platt is ok and the songs are great..the only thing i d change are the keys that i believe should be less in the whole sound!"reflections","caught in the act","wild, wild woman" and "keep the fires burning" are the highlights of Brave The Storm release!
