If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Vixen CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Vixen are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Edge Of a Broken Heart is a great song!Buy It!

Definately a great collection of songs from their career. In my opinion they were one of the greatest bands I have ever seen or heard. No word on a possible reunion yet but good things happen. Rumor has it that Roxy and Maxine (her sister) are back playing together in Madam X again.

I love Vixen. Hate this album. The only reason to purchase this one is the live version of 'I Want You To Rock Me.' It's a record label release. They make money by selling you a collection of songs you already have. Purchase the first two CD's and you have the best of Vixen. F**kin' record labels. No wonder people are online trying to get free music. BANDS make music. RECORD LABELS screw bands. It's that simple. Courtney Love ain't as crazy as you think! (creeper@sunlink.net)

...Nevertheless a great best of release. The only song I missed was 'It wouldn't be love'. Didn't even need to buy the first one.

This is defiantely a good best of album. It was smart to put one out because...I was not able to find any of the actual albums themselves so I settle with this one. Full THrottle is great. (I eventually found the first album recently in a used section)

Great collection of the first 2 CDs and this live version of 'I Want You To Rock Me' recorded while opening up for the Scorpions is actually a much better version then the studio version.

Ilove this band. Great music, great voice (Janet), style, image, posture, passion. Iwish to have some DVD from them. Shame, such beautifull girls and perfect live acts, and no DVD-s.

I couldn't agree more with LIDIJA ..!

vixens greatest hits (a wet dream come true)! 'edge of a broken heart' 'cryin' 'bad reputation' 'cruisin' and a live version of 'I want you to rock me' and the killer unreleased track 'give it away'!vixen full throttle rocks. cant wait for a new greatest hits collection with tracks from tangerine on it as well as some more unreleased vixen songs! Hot girls with guitars kick ass!

From: george_the_jack Date: May 3, 2009 at 14:33
Very overrated band. When they were at their best, they had the whole world in front of their legs.Oviously their label wanted something fresh and prototype at that time. So, spent a lot of money in their favour. One man was stringing guitars, other setting the sound, another one responsible for their making-up, another for their dresses/image...Oh...I forgot the most important! There were also a... few songwriters/lyric-writers at their service(whenever, of course, they did not cover any Jeff Paris' anthems..)As far as I know, the strongest sonwriting names were deeply involved with them 'cause their own songwriting capacity was almost non-existent...

In agreement with goerge_the_jack comment...i had the experience of seeing live these girls when they supported The Scorpions on their "Savage Amusement" Tour back then in Europe(London/England to be precise)in late 80's...the girls rocked up the Hammersmith Odeon incredibly good (by the way the live version of the song "I Want You To Rock Me" was recorded during The Scorpions Tour)...talking about this compilation, obviously brings all the band's hits...enjoyable...90/100
