Other than the fact that the guitar sound is a little less 'crunchy' than it could be, this album is certainly a worthy follow-up to 1990's debut. It's an interesting mix between the old Valentine sound on tracks like 'One More Chance' and 'Wait', the Open Skyz-ish 'Soul Salvation' and 'Love Is All We're After', and Hugo's solo stuff such as 'Everytime You Go Away', with songwriting being consistent throughout. I only hope that it isn't another 18 year wait for the next one!!! Highly Recommended. |

Well I thought this one was a slap in the face to the impression their debut made on so many. I'm not as wild about the debut as most are, but I admit it is a very good CD. This, imo, is not. Hugo sounds the weakest he has on any of his latest discs, but more to the point, the songs are piss-weak. Good production, shitty songs. Truly useless AOR tracks with a really uninspired, tired and bored delivery, from the whole band. Not just Hugo. If you want a much better album, try the Hugo/Ramos disc - Not amazing, but 100 times better than this slop. |

I was giving many spins with this release but like someone wrote above, itīs more of the same to me. Right, there are good melodies but nothing that you say Wow or Awesome, just good. Iīd pick "Everytime You Go Away" as my fav track or the beautiful ballad "Love Song". Hugo does a great job here as always. 8/10 |

One more time, Geoff summed it up right: This one is simply average compared to their first CD. |

I've found this album even a bit better than their self titled debut of 1990...great melodies all around, that marvellous AOR sound...God how much i love AOR music!!! ...Hugo is a kind of singer that puts smoothness in every single note he sings...my favourites are "Dream On The Way"(great!),"Pickin' Up The Pieces","Soul Salvation","One More Chance"(ala Steve Perry!),"Pages"(nice),"Wait" & "Love Is All We Are After"(wonderful!)...highly recommended album...94/100 |

2008 I was really happy as I heard thereīs a new Valentine Album.....but as I listen to the Album I was very disappointed! This ainīt the same Valentine Album than 1990....!!In those days 2008 i thought that Album will be much better than the 1990 once....but itīs not more than another Hugo AOR Album!!!Where the great backround Choir....where are the Guitars.....and the voice ainīt the same than 1990!!!Hugo listens to old and boring!Very tedious album....not for Fans who loved the 1990 Album!!This ainīt Melodic Hardrock.....this is Pop Rock not much more!Donīt buy it!!! |
