Initially I wasn't sure about this line up for Whitesnake, but after hearing the disc a good few times now, those fears have been erased. Superb in a word, with Aldrich & Beach adding some fire to the 'Snakes' belly, ably backed by the other fine performances from the others. OK, Coverdale isn't what he was vocally, but still has more presence than a lot of the so called vocalists that are around at the moment.

The new studio tracks featured are good & continue pretty much where the band left us after 'Slip Of The Tongue' - hopefully a brand new Whitesnake album will appear in the future???. Of the live album, No! It isn't 'Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City', which for me personally, is one of the best Live discs ever released & with the definitive Whitesnake line up, but that was then & this is now & this new Live album is a very good one indeed that shows there's life in the old dogs yet.

I think Whitesnake is in the right track. The 4 new studio tracks are very good. Ready to Rock is kind of a Burn type song, If you Want Me is in the 1987 vein as well as the incredible ballad All I want is You. Dog is kind of weird with a 1987 vibe but the guitar solo is a John Sykes inspiration. The live tracks are very well performed and the band showcases a lot of energy. Definately should be in any rockers collection.

I wish I could have saw them on tour. Reb and Doug are excellent guitarists. Coverdale's voice sounded a little weird to me on the live tracks.

Very good live compilation. The songs are played expertly and there are even four new studio tracks. This has a good mix that spans Coverdale's career.

and suddenly the SNAKE is back !new line up ,more powerful sound ,dirty and heavy an as hard rockin as it can get.for me this one and the next 2 releases are the best in hard rock music this decade.WHITESNAKE is back and once again in the highest level.the new songs sound great and especially the mid tempo "all i want is you " is superb!brilliance!

Great double album by David Coverdale a.k.a. Whitesnake!!!...this was the "new line up" Whitesnake was putting in at that stage of its career...CD 1 offers classic live shots such as "Bad Boy","Slide It In","Love Ain't No Stranger","Is This Love","Fool For Your Loving","Here I Go Again" & "Still Of The Night" and CD 2 offers some other good live shots plus new studio tracks and some Deep Purple cuts played live too("All I Want Is You" is a nice song and of course "The Deeper The Love","Take Me With You" and so on)...enjoyable album indeed...95/100
