I've seen this band 7 or 8 times in my life, but the latest incarnation of the band that I saw live last week is incredible. With Aldridge and Mendoza providing the best rhythm section imaginable (the former's drum solo takes some beating), Tim Drury on keys and Reb Beach and particularly Doug Aldrich unbelievable on guitars. Technically these guys are in a different league to most acts (particularly openers the Quireboys), and just for the solo performances this band has to be seen. |

I can't rate this because I haven't heard it. I just wanted to second what Tim said. I also saw them recently and had to find all Aldrich discs, so I could get caught up. Coverdale's voice has been well taken care of. He hasn't lost it one bit. Reb, Marco, Aldridge; Stellar to say the very least. If this line-up puts forth a new album we're in for another round of in your face excellence. Fantastic musicianship to be had here. Mothers, lock up your now adult daughters. |

I dislike the way Whitesanke, and many other bands, make money off the public more than once for the same product, i.e. the release, re-release, and then re-re-release of the same songs. How many greatest hits albums does a band need to release? Even if the record companies are at the helm of these decisions to milk fans, the bands are still to blame because they have to give permission - and they (the bands) profit, too, don't they? What's the difference between the greatest hits albums of the |

This is not a greatest hits package,it's actually Slide it in,S/T, and Slip of the Tongue all together plus a few rare/b-sides and outtakes.Having just seen the new Live DVD,I can tell you that the band is of the fuckin hook. They are tighter than a frog's butt. Doug Aldrich is simply amazing...better than he was on the live Dio DVD. He is so ON that it is something to behold...In fact the Whole Band is amazing!!!David's Voice is Killer....This Release...10/10!!! |
