| Whitesnake is a the monster in the hard rock history."good to be bad" is an exceptional record,when i listen it i ve the feeling to listen a whitesnake best of."forevermore" is so an excellent album.for "flesh and blood" david coverdale says "only killer,no filler".hey david it s a joke or what?you are very presomptuous ,for make short you re wrong.i ve the japan import with 14 songs.on 14 songs there is 6!!!!! big fillers.track 2 a strange song not melodic.track 8 good music but the choruse is very very weak.track 11 a speed song very very average with a poor guitar solo.track 12 a very poor ballad absoluty no interest and track 13 an horrible song ,a nightmare.track 14 is an acoustic version of the horrible track 12.stay only 8 good songs..tracks 1 and 3 are somme very good hard rock songs tracks 4,7 and 9 have a super choruse, track 5 and 6 are some good aor songs.the best song is track 10"heart of stone".this song is extraordinary,it s a monument.8 good songs,6 bad songs it s limit

| What a monster release but only three ratings so far? Shame on you HH people. 11 great/very good tracks and only four (6-8&15) bit weaker songs but DC was right, no filler in sight. Amazing band and you need to appreciate all the different styles on offer here. If you canīt do it, too bad. Once again old school is the best school when it comes to hard rock!

| @aTomiK- There hasn't been a new comment on this site for 3 weeks, so that explains only 3 # ratings. Many of the regulars are dropping like flies in the last decade as I would guess there are 30+ regulars for reviews now. As far as this Whitesnake release being a "MONSTER", that's a little too strong of a word IMO. What would you call the (1987) self-titled album, a 'Mega Monster'? For me as this release is better than the last couple WS albums but they are missing Doug Aldrich on guitar. Coverdale has been having issues with his voice which is understandable at his age (67).That is actually younger that I thought with his history in 70's bands Deep Purple,ect. as he was technically going on middle age when his band broke big in the late 80's.Don Dokken is only a year younger(66). This album has a feel of 1984's "Slide It In" with the exception of "Gonna Be Alright" which has a glimmer of the (1987) S/T. Like my Hardline review , this one is good for today with a dying 80's breed.

| I was very skeptical because I thought "Good to be Bad" and "Forevermore" were fantastic, and I still think Doug Aldrich was overall the best songwriting partner/guitarist for Coverdale/Whitesnake, but I'm pleasantly surprised with "Flesh & Blood". The production is really good, style wise it sounds like it could have been released between Slip of The Tongue and Coverdale/Page, but I actually think the songwriting on F&B is consistently much stronger than those 2 albums (and thankfully no Steve Vai "wankery"). For me this a "fun" Whitesnake album, and although I don't find Beach and Hoekstra nowhere near as compelling as Aldrich, I think the strength of the songs make up for the loss on lead guitar. Favorite's "Always & Forever" (which does sound like Slide it In era), "Hey You", "Flesh & Blood", and "Sands Of Time", overall no real throwaways, maybe"Get Up"?. Feels like a new Era for the band, and a worthy follow up to Good to be Bad and Forevermore.

| As their previous albums, not really my cup of tea, but I can understand why their huge fan base is very happy with the way Whitesnake continues on the chosen path. For me the songs Heart of stone and Can't do right for doing wrong (bonus) do the trick here.

| Top notch Hard Rock from Mr Coverdale! Their best for a good 20 years!! I purchased the double disc Set from Japan. Nice bonus material well worth the extra. Love it! Good to see ya Good to see ya! Good to see you again! Yay!!
