Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

This is an absolutly fantastic album! Coverdale and his snakes have done a couple of wonderful songs. Such beat, riffs and melodic vocalperformance are very rare nowadays. Coverdales feeling when he sings is outstanding as usual! Buy it and you wonīt regret it... |

Not a weak song on this CD! True, hard driving rock-n-roll without overdistorted guitars. This is the one that got me hooked on them! Still one of my favorites of ALL TIME! Their best! They got it right on this one! |

My first Whitesnake album and the sole reason i bought the previous and following, it is the best album they ever made (in my humble opinion). Looking 20 years back, the lyrics are terribly stereotype, and i still love it! The Heavymetal inspired Rock'n'blues is still the best i have heard in that genre. |

Such a damn solid release...No fillers here! The first track I ever heard from this one was "Wine, Women & Song"...WOOOOW!!! Amazing track...My philosophy of life! |

Without a doubt Whitesnake's finest hour as mentioned in some of the above posts. Cracking band, cracking songs, and an album i still play every week without fail. |

Wine, Women an' Song is my alltime favourite Whitesnake song. Child of Babylon follows quite near. Perfect production for this kind of music. Ready an' Willing had overall slightly better songs. But Don't Break My Heart Again is not bad either. Or Would I Lie To You (just to get in your pants, yeahhh, I think so, umph). |

Come An' Get It - Thatīs really Hot Stuff !!!! So if your Girl leaves you to Lonely Days, Lonely Nights and you think: Don't Break My Heart Again and you continue living on Wine, Women an' Song: Take this album anī Hit An' Run. Iīm no Child of Babylon, so Would I Lie To You if I say I will listen again and again to that fantastic album Till the Day I Die !!!!! |

I bought this album 10 years ago and used to hear Wine, Women and Song all the time. Somehow I lost this cd and only regreted it for this song, as I thought the rest of the album was rather uninteresting. Well, yesterday I bought it again for 4 euros and I'm listening to it right now. Wow, damn good hard rock! Wine, Women and Song is still a favorite, but all the others are great! Hot Stuff, Don't Break My Heart Again, Till the Day I die and the classic Would I lie to you are other highlights. |

I wish Coverdale could make another disc like this one, but i have big doubts that he ever will. Best songs here are:Hit 'n run, Child of babylon, Hot stuff and Don't break my heart again. Classic stuff. 9/10. |

Indeed one of the best & inspired offerings from the pre-MTV video days of Whitesnake. There is much to get excited over on this disc. These tracks are quick & to the point. No frills boogie rock & roll. |

Indeed a masterpiece, everything fits and the album virtually contains no flaws. Coverdale is on his peak, and the incredible bass playing of the underrated Neil Murray deserves special mention. Songs like Don't break my heart again, Lonely days lonely nights, Child of Babylon and Till the day I die are real gems and make this release an absolute must for every fan of classy and well written blues rock. |
