One of the best pop-metal bands of all time, due in no small part to Steve Rachelle's awesome vocals. Even if you own the band's albums, this new collection is essential due to the new song 'American Hair Band,' which, for those who don't know, spoofs Kid Rock's 'American Badass' by singing the praises of hair metal. But this is not a silly, cheesy spoof...this is a hard rockin', in-your-face, attitude-laden spoof, done by one of the few bands who could pull it off. A must-own for all TUFF fans.

A good compilation. 'American hair band' is for JASON and for all the others rewiwers who piss off this kind of music. Ok everybody has his own tastes in music, but Kelly Hansen is a great singer. One of the most beautiful hard rock voices. C'mon Jason Pull (like Kip Winger said).

All I know from this band is American Hair Band. What a song. Any new-rock/metal lovin' fan needs to listen to this and get their jack-ass heads together. 80's Metal RULES! One problem with this song - they didn't mention anything about the legendary yellow and black attack - STRYPER

Good to see Stevie is still at it. The Kid Rock spoof is a great attention getter. If anyone is out there listening-tour the US. Either one one of those combo tours or in some clubs. Specifically, play Cincinnati!

This album is another compilation of such, with a few new songs, including the one just mentioned here. The old tracks are compiled nicely, but will already be familiar to fans. The few new track see the guys in good form. The selection reaches into the band's back catalogue and Stevie's solo career. For those unfamiliar with the band, but for one reason or another are just catching on, there would be no better place to start checking the band out than this compilation.

How many more re re re re re re re-issues of the Tuff catalog can one fan endure? Why not just get the ORIGINAL line up back together, cut 12 new tracks, put em on a hard drive, and burn some CD's?? Hello... Stevie! The idea of Tuff writing and recording new material from members at ages 35 and over is interesting. The song topics would be worth a listen now that the blow has worn off. Where's George? Mike Lean? Todd Chase? Dig these dudes up, dust off the mold and go for the reunion sell out!!!

A question here as I don't own this album and am not familiar with it - is it re-recorded songs of the originals? For instance, is 'People they change' re-recorded and produced in a clean manner? And what are 'I won't give up' and 'Not telling the truth like'? Thanks for any help!

You could say Tuff aren't in the same league as Nirvana, the same way you couldnt say they were in the same league as the Beatles, Michael Jackson or Duran Duran musically...thats not the point. Right on Priest grunge sucks and it shows on American Hairband i absolutley love that song and i agree with what Stevie says on that song grunge bands are trash lol the other songs on this cd give Pearl Jam and Eddie a big fuck you lol the other songs on this CD is cool too i love American Man if you like The All New Generation you'll love American Hairband.

"American Hairband" is a funny song and a dead-on parody of Kid Rock, even if the grunge references were long out of date by 2001. It's still a real hoot to hear him work in the names of so many hair bands, while slagging Eddie Vedder (a favorite punching bag of mine). The rest, not so good. I'm not a big fan of Tuff anyway, so songs that weren't "good" enough to make the albums ... well, they aren't that great, by and large.
