Good hard rock on this 6 track cd by First Strike. The opening track of Hang Tough is great with a great guitar solo as does Only For You. Rock This House is another very good 80's party rocker. The singer makes this cd even better. Very similar to Ratt, White Lion, Kix, Firehouse and Dokken. Well worth adding to your collection. Rated 8/10. |

Well produced archive material(demo?)released on CD by RETROSPECT RECORDS in 2005 which reminds me of WHITE LION thanks to some excellent guitar work from axe Meister Dave Whiston. Song wise this is hit and miss with the first two track's rocking righteously before the musical turd that is 'Don`t Make Me Laugh' does just the opposite and makes me want to hurl. Things get back on track with 'Anytime' which is followed by the weak semi ballad 'Make Up Your Mind` before closing with the cheese metal by numbers of 'Rock This House'(huge KEEL feel on this one) Overall this gets a thumbs up from me despite the crappy artwork/presentation of the CD by RETROSPECT who are gaining a reputation of being the cowboy builders of the rock world(talk about turning gold to lead) 57/100 |

To be honest i did not like the album at all..even though it starts with an edgy HR track but then in pales out by the end of it so is a half good song at the end, then tracks 2 and 3 are really into the average territory..."Anytime" is probably the best track in here and the last song "Rock The House" could be remarkable only coz it has a pretty decent chorus..in general lines a poor release and having a vocalist that has some kinda Wendy O Williams type of voice!!!.75/100 |

i canīt believe that this recording is from 2005....!!!Sound like from the 80īs.....and is very dully...The Songs are like White Lions "Fight to survive"...but shouter seems like the shouter from KIX!!!Same Passages are similar to Foxx(USA)!My fave songs are "Hang Tough" and "Rock this House".....just good old Poser-Party Songs!!! |
