hmmm, why no comments on this one??? very good hard rock, and melodic, look at the musicians!!! I am not familiar with the vocalist but this is a good one, classy hard rock in short, great songs include Love don't come easy, Always in my heart, Too much, and bring on the night. Great vocals and a definaite in the top ten for me this year

Yes please! This is the kind of music I live for! Excellent US commercial hard rock ala the circuit 1990-1992. I love this stuff, with the beautiful rock ballads like 'Bring on the night', killer melodic rockers like 'I can't turn back', 'Always in my heart', 'Hold on', 'Feels like the first time', 'Love makes you blind' and glam hard rockers like 'Sweet little lucy'. If you like Danger Danger and Blind Date own this gem!!! Oh how I dearly love this disc, one of my faves of 2005 for sure.

Agreed with Geoff.. the D2 and Blind Date comparisons are dead on. Pretty good effort with 15 tracks and next to zip on filler. Mind you, Mike Pont probably had a bit of material to select from (only guessing..) so the best has been put up. Easily a contender for 'hair-metal' rookie of the year.

Yesssss. This is soooo good. Being a major fan of the bands named already by Geoff i am eating up this baby. Killer album. Wouldnot dare to pick out a song but if you insist i am a sucker for those midpaced song(s) like Always in my heart ( like Take me back from Great King Rat). Man what a year this is. So many great releases. Thanks to all those musicians out there and the record companies believing in AOR / Melodic rock music. This is easy a 9/10

And Love by the numbers is one hell of a melodic uptempo rock song.

Love the vocals on this album, similar to Matt Leven who sang on the TREAT - S/T album in 1994. In fact the whole sound is very similar to that album. Nowhere close to the same quality though. "Always in My Heart" is the highlight, brilliant melodic rock. "Too Much" & "Bring on the Night" are equally impressive. There is a LOT of filler though, & some utter garbage ("In the Groove" a prime example),& 5 or 6 great tracks out of 15 make it tough to recommend in a great year of releases IMO. 7/10.

************************************************************ Lucas H Gordon

Very goog Hard Rock. I would compare Hot Shot to Danger Danger, Blind Date, Firehouse, Bon Jovi. Gret vocals, guitar and catchy songs. My favorties are Love Don't Come Easy, Love By The Numbers, Too Much is Never Enough, Bring on the Night, Feels Like The First Time and Love Makes You Blind. I hope there is more in the vaults from this band and Mike Pont. Rated 9/10.

wow! just got this cd and does it kick ass! this is the best d2 they never did. i like this better than all the d2 cd's. and imo this is better than the blind date disc that i love and that comes from a native texan were blind date are from. there is no filler here as all the songs smoke. and the ballads are awesome as well. get this disc. 9/10

This is better than Blind Date, but better than D2? Let's not get carried away. Good stuff, but let's stay in reality for a bit.

GREAT Melodic Hard Rock/AOR/Hard Rock album, otro de las tantas buenas y raras bandas de 2da mitad de los 80's y primeros 90's reeditadas en esta epoca, solo basta escuchar ese estilo y darse cuenta que no es de ahora gracias a estos buenos sellos discograficos que podemos disfrutar de rarezas como estas Feels Like The First Time, I Can't Turn Back(TEMAZOS de puro AOR & Melodic Rock my favs), Hold On, Always In My Heart, Too Much Is Never Enough, Love By The Numbers, Wildside......

... Geoff said "This is the kind of music I live for!" me too Geoff, yo tambien vivo por esta clase de musica, Mike Pont y Al Pitrelli 2 curtidos en esa epoca dejan constancia de lo que fueron esos años, ahora si hubiera que elegir el disco del 2005 este se lo llevaria de encuentro a todos quien puede competir a su lado? pero este album no es de esta epoca esa es la grandeza de los 80's y esos primeros 90's Incomparable y Legendaria, un disco hecho para ti y para mi 9.5/10

Yep. This is a very good album. If you like your metal with lots of big guitars, smooth vocals and sing along chorus' this is the album for you. It is was overlooked in the day, don't overlook it now. Pick it up. You will not be disappointed.

Pretty good CD, even though it's a bit overhyped with all these "big" names featured on it. I expected much better but it's still a safe choice. Definitely brings back some good vibes from the early 90s. Not a fan of the vocals though, sound like a cheap Ted Poley.

Don't like it's very mediocre no catchy song's or licks, they sound similar to danger danger like geoff said but without that one good or great song very dull indeed...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

Brilliant album!!!!a combination of Hard Rocking songs with AOR ones, some very well known names involved here (including the likes of Nikki Sixx, basically the album opens with an intro where u can listen to Nikki's voice leaving a message coz he wanted to produce the band at that moment)for the spanish readers i recommend you to read Lucasgordon & Rafo Phoenix comments, everything is said in those 2 messages and for english readers Geoff is the man...well 4 me the best tracks are the ones with that AOR "noise","Always In My Heart","Feels Like The First Time","I Can't Turn Back","Love Makes You Blind"(ala Bon Jovi a 100%,the old BJ sound, even Mike Pont sings like BJ himself!),"The Heartache Of Love" & "Wildside"..then amazing tracks such as number 2,5,6,7,9("Bring On The Night",this one is a mega ballad!)& 10...highly reccomemnded,a killer album 4 sure!!!...95/100

all days i look at the "newest comments" cause it s the occasion for me to discover some unknows cd s and some unknows bands of me.first for hotshot i m impress by the comments all excellents.so i ve listen this record on you tube.sorry brothers i m not impress by this cd.no catchy choruses and the singer is not extraordinary.it s amazing that members of danger danger have choose a so weak singer.musicaly it s stamped "american melodic hard rock" in the vein of danger danger and bon jovi.but the comparison stop here.
