Oh god this mans only works but this work (not only this) is great Melodic Metal like a all albums from Lande.10/10.

From: Lennie Date: May 23, 2007 at 9:13
Well to be honest this was a bit of a disappointment. Dont get me wrong this is a solid, excellently played/sung piece of melodic metal, but is nowhere near as strong as the awesome debut. The songs are just not strong enough. High points are the excellent ballad 'Master of Sorrow', Russell's best effort 'Gone Too Far', and the great 'Wake Up Call'. Apart from that most of other songs are good but not great. We have come to expect more from Karlsson. 7/10.

I totally agree with above poster, Lennie. This is a solid piece of work but I was expecting more. A little more complex, heavier and more intense than the first album. I miss the infectious melodies, hooks and especially the instant memorable choruses. A very good album well above average and at times you can hear/feel the magic of the debut but not often enough. Some songs works better than others. Best songs: Master Of Sorrow, Just A Dream and Wake Up Call.

I think a burned copy should be ok here.Musically is well played with very good musicianship but voices aren't so great here.R.Allen doensn't sing at his levels and J.Lande isn't a singer for me(on live he's painful),when they sing together the result is pretty orrible.Songs are average, there isn't a single outstanding tune here....6,5/10.The first cd is more decent.

GREAT CD 89/100 GREAT SCANDI POWER METAL with 2 of the best SINGERS ever MAGNUS KARLSSON (LAST TRIBE/CODEX/MIDNIGHT SUN/STARBREAKER/PLANET ALLIANCE etc)is a true GUITAR HERO and even better songwriter The perfect sequel to the "the battle"maybe better Yes you can expect more , because they are even greater than that ! but this one is a winner ! Mr z4roxx ???????!!!???? come on !!! tell me is a joke !! anyway buy it

We must be more critiques, there are too many albums and few true talents or great music. It's so easy makin'mediocre or bad music, hard to make great music now.Dear YNGWIEVIKING I am happy to see in you true passion for music(I am like you man),your comments are always:great, stellar, fantastic etc..Okay but now we must be more critiques especially with people who has already reached popularity like R.Allen here or somethin' else. This is IMO an average album with the 90% I am listening to many years

From: DanDare Date: October 16, 2010 at 18:52
Certainly doesn't grab you by the throat like the first disc, but a good solid set nontheless. My only reservation is the sound of cash registers in the background and the sound of someone saying 'Quick, quick, before the bubble bursts'.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 5, 2011 at 20:05
Very good follow up,perhaps not as good as "The Battle" but still delivers great tracks being those IMHO "Wake Up Call","The Revenge","Her Spell","Just A Dream","Master Of Sorrow","Will You Follow" & "Gone Too Far"....90/100 and peace out!!!
