If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular New Monkees CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from New Monkees are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I was expecting a lot from this album, if there's mr. Huff it cannot be bad, we all know that. First of all I gotta say it's a decent aor album. 'What I Want' could've been on every aor artist album, and no one can deny it's a great tune, with guitars and a lot of keyboards. Unfortunately album isn't that good after that track, and after a couple of listens you're still sitting in your chair. reminds me of; 80s duo waterfront,or sometimes regatta but only sometimes.

sorry to disagree.but thought this album is very catchy.nothing like what was to come.as new monkey became tower city.but there are lots to like about this album.although i agree it maybe abit too slick for some.for those of you.who like it poppy.but still with some guitar work.and lets not forget the stella production.so often missing now adays.well worth picking up!!!!

This CD didn't do much for me, but I guess if you like very poppy AOR it's a decent album. 'Whatever It Takes' and 'Turn It Up' are to me the best tracks; great and catchy summertime pop-rock. Overall, though, I wouldn't give this album more than 6/10.

yikes!!!!! check out the musicians on this album, who knew?????? hahaha

Great album in my personal opinion...yes it sounds way to pop at times and in certain songs but still is very enjoyable to listen to..for me it has some Glass Tiger and Billy Joel(The Bridge/Storm Front type of sound)."What I Want" is a brilliant opener,"Do It Again" catchy,"The Way She Moves","Boy Inside The Man" another goodie,"Burnin' Desire" is a very cool song, surely it must have been a hit back then and "Turn It Up"..dunno if they continued as a band but this is the only known album of them, check it out if you can.92/100

This lollipop rock is the equivalent to Harem Scarem's bastard stepchild 'Rubber' releases IMO. I'm guessing since this is a drastic departure in style from the later 'Tower City' that the dreaded Warner record executives got a hold of Larry Saltis and said get rid of your MHR style, listen to our sure fire gimmick and call your band the New and improved Monkeys(lame), and you'll be bigger than Oingo Bongo with a laundry list of musicians. Rick kerch vzla (richter scale rater), how do you give this one 92/100 and the AOR masterpiece Arcangel - S/T 87/100 ? Different strokes for different folks but how about a little conformity with your conveyor belt comments? At a glance at your # ratings of almost 2000 releases you rate almost all of them in the 80's / 90's. So everything ever released on this site is good/great, or is it time to go back to ratings school and take time to analyze a release and give some original incite instead of just meeting your daily comment quota numbers?

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 17, 2011 at 11:54
Hey MetallianStallion(well actually i'm starting to doubt about your "metallian" monicker because it is really funny how you track down every single comment that i write in "pop" bands that you might not like)anyway i'm not gonna waste my time in a childlish confrontation with you dude,if you don't like my comments well don't read them but the only thing i'm telling you is that i write PEACEFULLY without the need of insulting anybody's opinion...about the rates?,well man tastes differ(for good or bad)but that's a personal opinion that you have to respect,as simple as that...and yes,i write zillions of comments daily, what's the problem with that dude?...you're a well known character at HH because of the way you even critize the owner of the site(Mr Dan)...anyway for metal music(which i adore too),i recommend you the metal archives site or blabbermouth...maybe HH is not the real site for your music taste...have a wonderful day...PEACE OUT!!!

Just my two cents here: Rick, keep those comments coming man... I enjoy reading them and it helps keeping this place alive. And btw this album is very good... i've grown to like this more than my initial comment from 2006 indicated - great poppy AOR. Take care!
