When this CD came out in 1989, it already seemed 4 or 5 years behind the times. Obnoxious Fastway/Keel/Quiet Riot style anthems like "Balls Out" and "Everybody Rock" were no match for metal's growing sophistication. What's worse was the fact that a lot of big names were responsible for something so amateurish (Charlie Huhn of Victory and Joe Bouchard of BOC). Luckily, there are two amazing AOR tracks that save the day: "Secret Eyes" and "Bring on the Night". The rest is embarrassing rubbish.

I totally disagree with Koogles about this cd cuz the best 2 songs are easily "Dangerous Love" and Loves a Killer" . . (check out the sampler for the ballad) . . . The 2 songs Koogles mentioned are good too but so is "Everybody Rock" and "Double Talk" . . . Thats 6 good tunes right there that make this cd a good addition to any collection.

Is this album available? I've never heard it, but I love Charlie Huhn's work with Victory. If it's anywhere near as good it must be a keeper.

I thought it was extremely bogus, I woiuld have to agree with "koogles"..."embarrassing rubbish" remark 100%. Don't bother, save yourself whatever it might cost ya and pick up an old "Lion" cd or something. This sucks bigtime, very hokey.

Blue Charvel don't make me hit ya with my hairdryer . now get back here and say good things about this band!! . lol . Anyone who hasn't heard this band should listen to the sampler of "Loves a Killer" and decide for yourself . Lots of good tunes on this cd and if there was a sampler for "Dangerous Love" or "Bring On the Night" then I am sure you would be asking what drugs these 2 guys are on that call this cd rubbish . . I totally disagree with Blue Charvel & Koogles but I respect their opinion.

Charlie Huhn`s vocals are fantastic and "Love is a Killer" the best ballad in the late 80`s. The rhythm-section Smith/Dunaway is the old Alice Cooper team...check it out and BUY!!!!

Fantastic record. The song EVERYBODY ROCK is a classic. Great melodic hard rock/metal album with a big surprise: IT CAME OUT IN 89(and not in 84-86)

Last night was the first time i heard this disc and the first thing that came to mind was Quiet Riot,Keel,DangerDanger,ah gotta love 80's metal. If you like this check out Bouchard,Dunaway, and Smith-"Back From Hell" another fine disc of rock anthems.Love's a killer is a great AOR track and i think if this cd came out in 84" this would have been a hit.fans of 80's pop metal will not be disappointed. All Alice fans buy this!!c-ya.

A mish-mash of different styles Includes Victory-style rockers (When You're In You're In, Balls Out), a couple AOR tracks (Secret Eyes, Bring On the Night,) and a couple killer ballads (Love Is A Killer, Dangerous Love.) Deadringer has a little bit of everything. If you like Charlie Hahn here, check him out on the first two Victory albums.

I picked up this Cd about 8 years ago and was not disapointed! I find the tracks are catchy and the production 8/10 This Cd will only grow in value as the years go by. A fine investment and addition to any Cd collection.

Anyone that loved the most commercial VICTORY moments ought to enjoy this. It is a very patchy release, but is just so worth buying for the melodic gems on here. "Loves A Killer" is haunting AOR, & "Secret Eyes" is so catchy & blatantly radio-friendly. Some great use of keys on this too, & awesome vocals from Huhn. Plenty of filler, but if you pass up on this for that reason then you're missing some great AOR moments IMO. 7.5/10.

Ahahah the rate it's funny,Sorry but I would ask to the site to remove this kind of rate because It's full of ignorants who don't know how to listen to music.Songs like"Everybody rock","Secret eyes","Double talk",the wonderful ballad"Dangerous love"and the followin'"Bring on the night"(these lasts 2 remind me to Survivor)are simply awesome,C.Huhn is also ok here.Try to listen with more attention and concentration, not when you see a porno movie or when you wash you dog ahahaha!

GOOD CD 75/100 but not a classic or something Just a good studio project full of late 70's HARD ROCK or 80's US AOR CHARLIE HUHN is as good as he used to be ! There is a special flavor ,that make this a fun CD to listen ...THAT's the point ! no ?

This one has it's ups and downs. There some geart rockin' tracks and a couple very nice ballads along with a few fillers. Overall it's a nice disc that should satisfy most.

Charlie Huhn of Victory fame singing here...i bought this on vinyl when it came out back in the day and just now i'm gonna write a comment about it...well good Hard Rock/AOR with some slices of Melodic Metal here and there but more into the edgy side of Hard Rock...songs are good ones or appealing to any rocker out there...faves o' mine are "When You're In You're In","Secret Eyes"(the best of the album IMHO,nice AOR cut),"Balls Out","Summa Cum Rock","Bring On The Night" & "Unsung Heroes"...86/100

very good debut for DEADRINGER with their sound being more on the mid 80 s hard rock sound!a band with great players that sound quite solid and offer some good songs like 'bring on the night","secret eyes" and "when i m in im in"!it grewed better after a few spins and i d say that it is a pleasant little indie

This is an awesome album. The legendary Charlie Huhn (Nugent, Axel Rudi Pell, Victory, Humble Pie, Foghat) and Jay Johnson are the showstoppers here - vocals and guitars are incredible. Stand outs - Loves A killer, Everybody Rock, Dangerous Love, Bring On The Night and Secret Eyes would have to be close to the song of 1989 only surpassed by TNT - Intuition.
