very strong aor album without a doubt, great voice and songwriting on this one and my fav Tommy Denander related album. favs are Dreamin with my eyes wide open, Its a long road, Through my eyes and Voices of the heart. In my top 5 for the year, good to finally see another strong aor release this year along with Blanc Faces.

From: AOR freaky Date: October 1, 2005 at 7:53
I have to agree with swriter on this one ! For me, this is without a shadow of a doubt the best, pure, traditional AOR album of the year so far, even better than Blanc Faces and it blows away the new Journey ! Only one complaint : a good 40 minutes running time is not enough in these CD times, where a disc can contain about 80 minutes of music. But that aside, this is GREAT AOR, what people like Dave Reynolds etc. might say (these guys hate AOR these days and prefer nu-breed and alternative !)

Don't get me wrong, this is quality.Bardowell sings well and Tommy D plays and produces proficiently. But to say it's A.O.R.album of the year is a little off the mark. The title track shows the way but the rest flatters to deceive, basically falling into total balladry. Not that there is anything wrong with ballads, but the album could have been at a quicker tempo. As a Denander fan,I'll admit I'm disappointed cos Broke n Blue and Blanc Faces have delivered better cds than this,in my opinion.

I'll be between AOR freaky and Wotty on this one. IMO this is a great AOR album with at least 6 memorable tracks, amazing performance by Mr. Bardowell, and not so low tempo as Wotty said (my opinion). But I don't think it's AOR album of the year, cause Blanc Faces gave me the best enjoyment and absolutely no fillers. And back to "In The Cut", for me the great highlights are the 2 Jim Peterik tracks, simply amazing, and the very "Rocky Movies" song Heart Of A Hero, wrote by Stan Bush. HQ here!

A good one this and one of the stronger releases of the year.Starts off in traditional Tommy D style with the title track, which for me is the best track on the album. All the rest is good with 'One Day In January' & Jim Peterik's 'Dreamin' With My Eyes Wide Open' (sounds exactly like Pride Of Lions) being my other picks. OK, nothing groundbreaking here and it could have done with a few more uptempo tracks & more of Tommy's Guitar in the mix. Highly enjoyable and a definate keeper.

Another winner from Frontiers, this is a very strong & consistent album, with only "She Will Never Know" making up the numbers a little. The re-work of Spiro's "Through My Eyes" is stunning, as are Bardowell's vocal abilities. As Jez mentions, the mix is like the early Survivor albums - with the guitar seemingly drowned out, & 3 ballads out of 10 tracks is just too many. But if you liked the last Stan Bush or early Mark Spiro albums then you can't really go wrong here. 8.5/10.

WOW! I think this is the first Denander-related album I like!!! What went wrong? IMO this is MUCH better than Hartmann, but nowhere near as good as Blanc Faces. It's a great AOR album, with 'Never too late', 'One day in January' and 'Dreaming with my eyes wide open' being 3 of the year's best tracks. Like Tim (2), the only track I dislike is 'She will never know', but the rest are all very good. Not the absolute best or most original album ever, but very strong release. I like it alot.

Temas que llegan al maximo pues estan "heart of a hero" "never too late for love" "it´s a long road" "dreaming with my arms wide open".. un gran disco 9/10

I gotta believe baladasa puro feeling,Never too late mi favorita, calidad señores,calidad...9/10.

Lovely album...yes opec probably some Stan Bush here and there but with a personal touch..."Through My Eyes","Heart Of a Hero","I Gotta Believe"(beautiful ballad),"Never Too Late For Love" & "Dreamin' With My Eyes Wide Open"(the best cut IMO)are just outstanding ones!!!...a pleasant & skilled vocalist...by the way he took some singing classes with Ken Tamplin(Shout,Joshua and others)...87/100
