Very solid CD by Crashdiet i like this one very much i recently got the Japanese Version with the song Night Hellride and also the song Liquid Jesus is very good too not as good as Rest In Sleaze, The Unattractive Revolution and Generation Wild but still a good solid Sleaze Album |

Second album with a stable lineup, and a big reason The Savage Playground fails where Generation Wild succeeded is its length: it's over fifteen minutes longer than the last album. I found myself getting seriously bored as this disc dragged on. Right in the 40-45 minute range is where this kind of music is best. Too many songs here just don't have the bite that Generation Wild had. Maybe if I took them one song at a time, or shuffled the track sequence, I mighth like it better, but a lot of these tunes just play it safe, and lack a real sense of danger or menace. I've said it many times about this type of band: these are young guys trying to make music from a different time and place. Hardcore Superstar's "Beg For It" and "Split Your Lip" albums have this one beat. |
