I have waited for this moment for more than ten years. When I heard their first single on Swedish radio 'Riot in Everyone' I couldn't believe that song was made year 2005. And when I saw the promo video it almost made me cry in happiness. This is sleaze for the 21st century. You can hear the influences from the 80s but they definately have their own sound. If you're a fan of sleaze, glam or hard rock you should definately buy this record.

From: Beikes Date: September 15, 2005 at 2:03
Make no mistake, CRASHDÏET is Glam Metal at its best! If I didn't know any better, I would have thought this album was made in the late 80's - yes, it is that good! Totally blown away by songs like 'Riot In Everyone', 'Queen Obscene', 'Out Of Line' and the next single and video 'It's A Miracle', I must say that this is the best glam release in more than 15 years! I really get goosebumps listening to this melodic, yet aggressive and asskicking form of Glam.

From: Beikes Date: September 15, 2005 at 2:09
Take a look at their three amazing videos at the site www.crashdiet.org ** These boyz are enjoying massive success in their home country, and they are even played on MTV! The L.A scene did not die in 1990, it just packed its bags and moved to Sweden! Oh my God this is a 10/10 Buy buy buy!!!

From: Nick C Date: September 15, 2005 at 10:21
Wow! Checked the bands website after reading your reviews ... this totally rocks. Breakin the Chainz is fantastic....I'm definately adding this as a priority on my wanted list for immediate purchase when the old money situation improves!!!!

From: rene Date: September 17, 2005 at 9:52
This band its great. This is pure GLAM METAL (not glam rock), very much influenced by WRATHCHILD UK. This guys sent me a long tima ago a demo and later i ordered a single by the band but now i still have to buy their cd. I dont know why i am waiting???? I am going to buy it, CRASHDIET together with LOUD´N´NASTY are two of the best GLAM METAL BANDS AROUND ON THIS MOMENT. HAIL TO GLAM METAL FOREVER.

From: Nick C Date: October 8, 2005 at 6:20
Well I've had this for over a week now and it's been played to death. I originally thought Knokk 'em Down was the wrong choice for opening song as it's a little slow BUT it has a great groove to it. The following three tracks are total classics and rock like crazy. The band have some good backing vocals kind of reminiscent of Leppard or Treat, but that's where the similarity ends. I haven't found any filler yet on this killer release, and it's worth getting the Jap version for the extra songs.

ESPECTACULAR PIECE OF WORK!!! i am one VERY happy glam rock/metal fan living in portugal right now!!! i just hope more bands like this show up and have a lot of success, the fans really apreceate it! oh, and about this cd, i think everyone who has posted their message here must have the same opinion as me, so LONG LOVE GLAM!!! this cd was the best 15 euros i spent for the last months! lets hope that grunge stays dead and buried for good.

From: twisted_vikki Date: November 5, 2005 at 17:03
Wig Wam and now Crashdiet!!!!!!! I really hope that the great GLAM is back!!!!!!Rock'n'roll forever!!!!!!! For all the alternative/grunge guys: TAKE A CRASHDIET!!!!!!!!!

From: Geoff Date: November 16, 2005 at 22:23
Holy shitballs! As noted above, this is probably the best release of it's kind in 15 years. The first 5 songs are like a demonstration of how to record perfect slabs of sleaze metal. I want to mention them all seperately, but they're all so awesome. 'Riot In Everyone', 'Queen Obscene/69 Shots' & 'Needle In Your Eye' are probably my faves... that is until the brilliant 'It's A Miracle' hits the speakers. Brilliant track. Amazing riffs, songs and vocals, reminds me of Shotgun Messiah. Killer disc.

From: Doctor Glam Date: December 11, 2005 at 6:31
YES, its a MUST for everyone who likes Glam and Sleaze, and I really hope that this will bring some new fans of the music we love, and at least let me say THERE ARE some very talented NEW GLAM Bands in the scene, check out BASTARDZ - No Ass no Pass Album, this guys from Brasil and CRASHDIET RULE !!!!!!!!!!!!

by: Blabbermouth.net - 2006-01-20 22:30:41 Frontman David Hellman (a.k.a. Dave Lepard) of the Swedish Sleaze Metal band CRASHDIET was found dead this morning. Unfortunately Dave is dead... too bad that the band's carrier ended in such a way... they were the leaders of the new 80's hard rock era but now it's over... RIP Dave you were a gifted frontman... The other guys from the band said that they won't continue as Crashdiet... Let's hope that they will come up with something good again...

They had the looks and the hooks.Just listen to Knokk 'Em Dead, Riot In Everyone and Breakin'The Chainz. The is first rate Glam the way it is suppose to sound like. From: metalmaniac777 Date: December 25, 2006 at 23:16
If most other glam/sleaze CDs are like Fords, then Crashdiet is a Ferrari, in a class by itself. If you look at a hair metal menu and crave something with loud guitars, huge hooks, catchy choruses, & big backing vocals, then this band would be what you order. When it comes to Crashdiet, the phrase 'there's the best, then there's the rest' comes to mind. These guys are indeed the best, and sleaze-metal fans should be as satisfied as a wall-eyed virgin after a one-night stand with Jenna Jamison.

From: rattpoison Date: January 9, 2007 at 0:19
Wow amazing album easily the best glam metal album of the last 15 years this is a classic already. This album deserves to up there with the likes of Appetite For Destruction, Out Of The Cellar and Skid Row as the greatest albums of the genre.

From: juan carlos Date: January 9, 2007 at 13:54
'Rest in Peace'. 9.5/10 a todo volumen ehh.. Saludos.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 14, 2007 at 16:59
I can`t believe why this album`s so high-rated. It sucks!!! If you want to hear really great glam/sleaze so listen to acts like PRETTY BOY FLOYD, SHAMELESS, NASTY IDOLS, JET BOY, SEA HAGS...but Crashdiet is totally overrated!!! (1,5/10)

From: the brat Date: February 1, 2007 at 10:03
First I was only a fan of Crashdiet, but then i actually got to know them all as friends. Very sadly, Dave chose to leave this world january 2006. A year later they performed live in Stockholm with their new singer and they kicked ass. I was truly blown away by the new song they played. I've heard some more demos, and you won't be disappointed I promise you. I think a new record will be out later this year!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: February 8, 2007 at 12:46
Great Hard Rock/Sleazy Rock album, Glam mis bolas muy en la onda Skid Row, Shotgun Messiah(con mejor voz)pero actualizados 9.5/10. Un disco que se convertira en clasico con el paso del tiempo.

From: Fat Freddy Date: February 9, 2007 at 17:10
Sadly, I didn't discover this band until Dave Lepard had already passed away, but BOY am I glad I checked the band out nonetheless, because REST IN SLEAZE is a classic slice of '80s style sleaze rock! I honestly didn't think they made 'em like this anymore. 'Riot In Everyone' is the best Skid Row song that Skid Row never made, if you catch my drift. Apparently the Crashdiet guys are set to carry on with a new singer, and I wish them the best of luck!

From: poproxx2007 Date: April 3, 2007 at 4:31
Like many of you I have been a fan/collector of glam/aor/hard rock for over 20 years. I grew up with Crue, Poison & Pretty Boy Floyd. I own and cherish bands like Tryx, Big Bang Babies, Ana Blacks etc. This is the true successor to those great bands. This is the real deal. How it was done by guys who were 9 years old at most when that scene was alive and well is amazing. This is truly one of the greatest glam releases of all time. BREAKING THE CHAINS is a classic! 10+

From: sebo 79 Date: July 28, 2007 at 12:23
well, everything's been said here! all we that are visiting this site want more cd's like this-this is a classic-it has power to make you raise your fist and scream,it brings back the glory of 80's metal. i just hope that their new album with the new singer will be at least half good as this one

Gran álbum sin duda!! Knokk 'Em Down y Breakin' the Chainz demoledoras!! Son los nuevos Skid Row ah pero eso sí sin llegar a ellos ojo, mmmmh les falta subir un escalón más... cosa que en el 2º disco tampoco lo consiguen ya sin Dave... aún así muy buenos los dos trabajos. Rated 8'7/10

From: cherokee 1975 Date: November 19, 2007 at 18:54

Just when you thought the corpse of glam/hair metal had rotted away to maggot food along come CRASHDIET to dig it up and pump it full of steroids giving us 35mins of sleaze that prime time Motley Crue would be proud of. Standout cuts are plentiful but my faves have to be `riot in everyone` and `breakin the chainz`. Without doubt the most essential hair band of the last 15 years. 90/100

From: Bobby De Date: December 31, 2007 at 1:03
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU - INFINITELY! My luvs is someone else's luvs! So many nights I lay alone, awake, writhing in agony praying for some young kids out there to find each other; write something special; grow their hair; and create the comeback albm that is going to send the spiraling ball of fire rollin' and growin' and hopefully come tumbling down the Hollywood strip killing the emo's, barroling down MTV studios blowing them up, and exploding into the scene reviving a whole new retro

From: hrmx Date: April 3, 2008 at 12:37
I love to see old Hard Rock bands returning to the plate as well as excellent newcommers like crashdiet bringning back the Hard Rock nowadays .I am a total Hard Rock / Metal freak, same as I was back in 80's and 90's when MTV dictated the death for the Hard Rock and crowned the Grunge as the new king, suddenly everything thet smells like guitar riffs, spandex and hair was stupid and laughtable !!! but he re were are 15 years later and , where is the Grunge ??? who is still alive ?? yes the Hard Rock is still alive, but why the Hard Rock survived the Gringe and MTV ayyack ?? the answer is easy Hard Rock / Metal has and attitude, a vibe and a musicianship that grunge never never had. Simply in music business the cake belongs to the real musicians ...... So where are those who made fun of the hairy bands ???? Who is really the dead Mr Seattle.

From: Buitre Date: April 28, 2008 at 15:20
When I first heard a song of this band I thought "What is this??? How is it that I haven't heard it before??? I know -all?- the 80's sleazy / glam" Easy and surprising answer: They recorded it in this century. Unbelivable...maybe there is a real chance to bring back music to earth. Ah, by the way: Buy it - NOW!

From: Kralli Date: August 19, 2008 at 20:11

Crashdiet Rockz it's cool that they're still young new fresh sleaze glam bands still making CDS espically nowadays when mostly all you hear is either Grunge or Nu-Metal or Rap Metal or Alternative CRAP it sucks that Dave Lepard commited suicide RIP Dave i love the songs Knokk'em Down, Riot In Everyone is a very cool rebellious song Queen Obscene/69 Shots is cool Breakin' The Chainz rules!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 10, 2009 at 1:12
I still don't get the hype with this band. It has some 80's elements to it but it is wayyy too modern for me...it's like Blink 182 with a heavier sound. Even the worst 80's band is better than these guys. Try Crazy Lixx or Crossfire...they blow these guys away.

From: Madd Mortigan Date: October 14, 2009 at 19:31
I don't see the comparisons to Blink 182. The only time I heard Blink 182 they reminded me of Green Day. I hate those nasal sounding crap bands. Crashdiet is great sleaze!

From: hair metal again Date: November 16, 2020 at 7:22
a pure masterpiece for CRASHDIET and for me is probably the best album a new band released in the new millenium and a release that could do for hard rock genre what GNR did back in 87 under the strong promotion of a big company of course!sleazy glam hard rock with a strong 80 s reference but with their own style without being copycats and most important with that enormous young feel that hatd rock is all about!essential and a milestone in the history of our beloved music

From: Auslander Date: May 22, 2021 at 15:52
Can anyone actually believe it's been 16 years since this album came out and rocked our world?! Geez I feel old. 16 years, and I still think of this as a "new sleaze album"...
