A bit inconsistent, but definitely some tracks worth looking into. Highlights include 'Look Me in the Eye', 'Wishful Thinking' and 'Running the Race'. If Petra's 'Beyond Belief' or Halo's self-titled excited you, Fighter should be on your list of CDs to get! |

Good album of Christian Melodic Hard Rock, good female singer, the songs alternate between female and male singer, songs how Stop Look Listen, Running the Race, Look Me in the Eye, Face to Face, Do What You Want are good. Un buel album de Rock Melodico, los temas se alternan entre los diversos cantantes. |

This is an A M A Z I N G album. It's absolutely that kind of rock I like: 'power' AOR with a hard edge (such 'tough' riffs!!) but still lots of keys, good guitar work & at NO way 'metal'. Best tracks are: 'Wishful thinking', 'Running the race', 'Mr Nice guy' & the WONDERFUL ballad 'Radio man' even though almost the completely tracks are awesome! The point to critisize is, that they are a christian band, nevertheless the lyrics are not poisoned by one-sided, unreflected lyrics of 'God'. |
From: Nanteau | Date: May 4, 2005 at 11:41 |
What i mean is the lyrics and the affected behavour of the so called 'CCH Bands' --'Only 'God' is good, bla..bla.bla' is completly shit and nerves me a lot BUT musically seen it's a classy album. |

Good CD 80/100 CHRISTIAN HARD ROCK nothing really new but well crafted songs with some nice both male & female vocals ! Like SILOAM or THE BRAVE also agree with Edson about the comparison with Night Ranger/Ransom/Idle Cure Better than 2ND album "bang the drum" |

I would fight tooth and nail like a pissed-off badger before I would let someone take this CD from my collection. While not as widely appreciated as some other albums in the genre, I consider this to be a Christian melodic hard rock classic, chock full of great vocals (alternating between male/female), commercial hooks, quality choruses, slick harmonies, and stellar production. If you're a fan of Halo, Idle Cure, or Petra and don't own this CD yet, what are you waiting for? |
From: Delbert | Date: January 31, 2010 at 13:54 |
Mark....I am with you all the way on this one. FIGHTER plays top-notch female & male fronted Christian melodic hard rock. Throw Ransom and Idle Cure in a blender and you've got FIGHTER!!! Amy Wolter is an excellent female vocalist who later released some solo CDs. Cream of the crop..... |
From: rick kerch vzla | Date: November 8, 2010 at 19:53 |
If you like duets then Fighter is an option 4 you!!!...as some comments above stated this is a female-male fronted band, the songs on this record goes straight into the Melodic Rock/AOR territory rather than the Hard Rock label (even though on their second album they addopted the Hard Rock sound vastly)..."Look Me In The Eye" wow, what a way 2 start an album, excellent AOR friendly track ,"Shadows" rocks,"Face To Face" is a nice mid tempo ballad,"Do What You Want" nice one,"Running The Race" catchy,"Nice Guy" nice too & "The Waiting" is a blast one!...get it!.95/100 |

the three tracks writen by the drummer sean murphy are absoluty excellent(tracks 7.8 and 11..but the other songs.....hum it s a very average a o r affair even if the two singers are great and the production is perfect.there is far far better than fighter in christian rock ,legend, legend seven or bloodgood for example. |
