Anyone know if these guys go over-board with the religious stuff?

From: Jeff Date: February 8, 2003 at 3:03
I just listened to the sound samples and all I can say is that these guys are COOL. I MUST GET THIS CD!

just about everything that the WORD lable put out was really great stuff. this album has some really strong moments and some ok moments. I don't think it has anything that is "bad" on it. overall I say get this album if you find it.

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 17, 2004 at 8:58
superb hard rock from this guys, shame they only lasted two albums, because the stuff in here its very good.they can rock hard when required and then the next minute soften up when needed, never a dull moment...get this cause its guaranteed to satisfy!!.

i think i like this cd just a bit better than the waiting.but there is'nt mush in it.also try amy walters solo cd.hit me in the heart.her husband and some of the band help out.this could have been the third fighter cd.very much like robin beck.

I write here my comment about Amy Wolter solo cd(“hi me in the heart”,1994).What a pity,a great voice for an average release.Decent melodick hard rock/blues far from Fighter and also from a good christian other release. Not a single remarkable tune even if the cd don t contains a single filler, just average good musci. It’a also a shame that in the site don t figure an immense talent like Michael W.Smith who made several great works.Anyone knows the reason????

Recomendado. 8.5/10

Good CD 77/100 CHRISTIAN HARD ROCK nothing really new but well crafted songs with some nice both male & female vocals ! Like SILOAM or THE BRAVE but not as good !

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 31, 2010 at 12:59
This band battled valiantly to create a sophomore CD that was as good as their debut ("The Waiting"), but in the end just couldn't quite accomplish that difficult goal. That said, don't hang 'em on the cross yet, because despite suffering a slight--and I do mean slight--downgrade in quality, this is still a pretty good Christian melodic hard rock release. The heartwarming ballad "Faithfully" alone makes this a keeper, thanks to powerful lyrics and the soul-stirring vocals of Sean Murphy, one of the most underrated singers in the Christian rock genre (Amy Wolter shares lead vocal duties, so loathers of female-fronted bands beware). Fans of Ransom, Siloam, or Seriah should be able to drum up some support for this CD.

I agree with Andrew (Jessica96fish) above in that I lean toward this second major label release from the band. In retrospect, Fighter was a Christian power-pop band cut from the same cloth as Petra and White Heart. The Iowa-based group was led by Amy Wolter and the distinctive element in their sound was the trade-off vocals between Amy (likened by critics to Pat Benatar or Patty Smyth of Scandal) and male singer Sean Murphy. This one gets a two thumbs up from me.

More solid than their debut one and leaving,or may i say, addopting to their Melodic Rock/AOR sound a more edgy Hard Rock style of music...the female-male singing duet comprised of Wolter & Murphy still deliver passion to their christian beliefs and makes the album a pleasant one to listen to(like they did on their first release)anyway about the songs..."Time Out" rockin' & catchy opener,"Alone With You" wonderful & nice AOR,"Bang The Drum" is another good rocking one and the chorus strongly reminded me of Def Leppard ,"When Will We Learn" is another rockin' song but with AOR sparks,"Faithfully" a friendly AOR track,"So Much To Learn" has a nice catchy chorus,"Your Hand" IMHO the best(or at least 4 me) & "Where Can Love Be Found" a wonderful acoustic track that reminded me of Bon Jovi somehow...the same formula as their debut release but with a more rocking feel...excellent!.97/100

this christian rock record is very varied (too much).this album have his moments.the best songs are track 1 and 2,two excellent a o r songs.track 5 a classic but very beautiful ballad.track 7 an excellent hard rock song.and track 11 a super song wich smell the south in the vein of doc holliday or lynyrd skynyrd.the rest ?it s very very average even if the sound is perfect and the two singers very great.i think that this band scearch his right way.they plays aor ,ballads with piano, hard rock, southern rock and a little blues rock.i ve absoluty against varied cd s but here it s too much and too average in general.
