Another album I can 't find. What 's wrong with the record industry. This one 's a classic for all aor-fans. kim.vanhemelen@planetinternet.be

From: Mentalizer Date: July 23, 2001 at 23:10
This album'd be perfect if it had only the first two songs! Liar is the BAOR anthem!!! (BAOR = boring adult oriented rock)

From: wser Date: August 26, 2001 at 2:49
Almost perfect aor abum.A must have.MARK FREE is one of my favourite singers.Just great!

From: Mark Date: September 15, 2001 at 10:39
Hey Kim-they've got this CD at Amazon.com, as well as some online CD places (AOR Heaven, Hot Tracks, NEH Records probably all have it). Great CD overall. Outstanding AOR, terrific production. Mark Free has an amazing voice. Get it!

From: max sobarzo Date: October 19, 2001 at 15:33
excelent ,great ,very good hard rock . In my country, Chile, the best. long live signal, (in the memory of music)

From: Harvey Date: October 25, 2001 at 12:46
Worth the price for 'Does it Feel Like Love'. Not the world's most consistent album ,though. The 1st Unruly Child album ( with Mark Free on vocals) is an absolute classic... buy that as well!!!

From: Mike A Date: December 15, 2001 at 15:20
Perfect. This gets an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Wake Up You Little Fool is one of Mark Free's greatest performances.

From: eka Date: January 24, 2002 at 12:57
this is a very catchy album, and it shows the feeling what we feel in the late 80's. My fav is 'Go', but the others are great also. Almost perfect.

From: Shoemaker Date: January 25, 2002 at 2:37
The album is ok, but not a real big one. The song 'Go', seems to be stolen from TRIUMPH's 'Surveilance' album, the song 'Run into the night' on their album sounds very similliar to 'Go', but I agree, it's a good track.

From: Shoemaker Date: January 26, 2002 at 0:57
I have to correct this, the songwriters SCOTT/BAKER just used the same song twice. The Triumph version was earlier, but in my opinion Triumph was the better band. Mark Free is just a Popsinger!

From: Mike Date: March 26, 2002 at 12:50
Hey, you forgot 'You Won't See Me Cry' with the shining guitar solo...

From: Desslar Date: April 5, 2002 at 1:44
Decent AOR, but much too soft for my taste.

From: TIM Date: May 17, 2002 at 18:48
I liked a few tracks, but some were rather stale.

From: Richard H. Date: June 19, 2002 at 12:30
This one's hard to get your hands on but if you are a Mark/Marcie Free fan then you should go out and find it.It's a lot softer than Unruly Child but melodic nevertheless.Stand out tracks are 'Does It Feel Like Love','This Love,This Time','Wake Up You Little Fool','You Won't See Me Cry' & 'Arms Of a Stranger'

From: Bryan Date: July 28, 2002 at 2:13

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 6, 2002 at 9:39
In my opinion this is the best recorded work from Mark Free! The passion and he delivers in this work is simply dazzling! This is an emotional melodic AOR/hard rock as it`s best!Really such a classy effort! If you are into melodic rock, this record becomes a must have!I give it a 99!True 80`s pomp aor band!and of course the spotlights are all on Mark who delivers kind of passionate sometimes muscular, vocals on songs that really correspond to his natural gift of singing!Great song writting here!!!

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 6, 2002 at 9:51
For those who can`t find the cd,it has been lately re-issued in France, remastered, with great sleeve design, new photos etc.. The name of the label is Axe-Killer!The problem is that the record companies, inside USA are far more interested on it`s proffits, giving credibility to shitty bands!People say metal is coming back, but this new-metal crap is way far from the exiting artfull music of the 80`s!IN THE USA,guessthatif it depends of musicianship or good taste for music rock is fucking dead!

From: Kim Date: September 9, 2002 at 15:53
This never made me play ``air guitar`` or anything. To me this suxx. There were so many other bands around, which were 100 times better.

From: freddy de keyze Date: September 13, 2002 at 2:47
This is probably the best AOR CD EVER PERFECT in every SENSE. Don't miss this real MASTERPIECE. BUY it any cost. THE CD of all times

From: purrfect-kat Date: September 13, 2002 at 4:51
Yesssssss Freddy Ohhhhhh Yesssss it's Mmmmm purrrrrrfect . . . Some good songs on this cd.

From: purrfect-kat Date: September 13, 2002 at 9:25
freddy I didn't mean my comment about this band to sound snide . . . . (This kat will explain) . . . . my friend Kandy dropped something while I was trying to type my comment and she was reaching somewhere she shouldn't have been to look for it. . . lol . . . . anyways back to this band . . . . I agree with You that this cd has some good songs on it but there were a couple mellow songs on it too that I didn't like very much.

From: Date: October 3, 2002 at 14:32
An average CD, but I prefer Mark Free's work in Unruly Child and King Kobra compaired to this CD. Some really good songs start off 'Loud & Clear', but it's a bit top-heavy and the CD starts sounding average towards the end. Even with it's shortcomings it's still worth having for 80s AOR fans, but the CD is soft for other hard rock fans.

From: freddy de keyze Date: January 6, 2003 at 14:55
Boy, do these comments sucks ! Tim and Kim and the others, listen to modern rock (yes, that crap) and leaves this pearl to people who know what REAL AOR is. Too soft ? Ever listened to Journey ?! THis is AOR, guys, not hard rock and it's perfect AOR, better doesn't simply exist ! No connections with Triumph at all and far better than Unruly CHild !!! This is what perfect AOR is all about ! Absolute CLASSIC, not one filler. Open your ears, and you will see the light !!!

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 21, 2003 at 16:39
PROBABLY THE BEST AOR ALBUM EVER RELEASED IN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

From: JOURNEY Date: January 28, 2003 at 18:18
yes, it is a masterpiece album, but it isn't the best aor album ever: that is 'FRONTIERS' BY JOURNEY!!!!! By the way the Signal are one the best group ever!!!!

From: TIM Date: January 28, 2003 at 23:27
Sorry JOURNEY, but this does nothing for me. I do indeed love Journey though- especailly Frontiers and Escape.

TOP 10 ALBUM.AWESOME MARK FREE

From: Chris Date: June 3, 2003 at 8:26
Absolutely stunning album. Shoemaker.. You say that Mark Free is just a pop singer? What planet are you on man? Mark Free is up there with the Steve Perrys and Brad Delps of this world, you simply can't get a better voice. He/She Was blessed with a wonderfull and stunning vocal range. Listen to Mark/Marcie's vocals and then go and listen to the likes of Gary Hughes (Ten), What a sad case he is, That guy can't sing a friggin note. Oh i've had enuff of arguing. Buy this Signal album, its superb.

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 3, 2003 at 18:23
I agree with you Chris, Mark Free/Marcie Free is one of the best AOR voices ever and this album blows all competition away. By the way, Chris, do you really hate Ten that much ? It's not my fave band at all, but I find it decent. And by the way, have you heard Gary Hughes' first solo album ? Superb, that one and better than all stuff he did later with Ten ! I have the same with Harem Scarem. I hate that band ! Only their first is great, but the rest ? They are the most overrated band ever. Crap

From: Chris Date: June 3, 2003 at 22:43
Yes Fred i really hate that band. One mention of them and i wanna throw up mate, kinda like you probably do with Harem Scarem. I adore this here Signal album though, and i love Mark/Marcie Free's vocals. By the way i dug out Roadmasters 'sweet music' today and let it rip. What an album. I forgot just how much i miss those days. Awesome..

From: John Date: June 12, 2003 at 17:16
2 good songs to lead off the album followed by pure ennui. King Kobra was better.

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 12, 2003 at 19:25
John, poor John, you're joking ! Two good songs and the rest rubbish. Then you're no AOR fan at all. This album is perfect from song 1 till the last song. The first two songs are the heavi'st, but the rest is brilliant AOR ! Songs like 'Wake up you little fool' and especially 'You won't see me cry' are made in HEAVEN, John ! Pure, brilliant AOR, no longer made these days. Listen and enjoy !

From: peter Date: June 21, 2003 at 13:44
signal: thrill of a lifetime...

From: LiarSux Date: June 22, 2003 at 18:30
Liiiiaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr....I love this song!!!(kidding, of course)

From: Peter-Poland Date: June 27, 2003 at 8:24
freddy de keyze you're right ! ! ! There is even no use in sayin how classic this album is. Mark Free on vocal etc sayin it all. Really really classic relase, each and every track on this album is to die for and it's must have for every real AOR fan. It's like holy book in every catolic Peter

From: MASTER Date: July 30, 2003 at 14:21
The best AOR album ever!

From: Scandinavia Date: September 25, 2003 at 6:04
Damn good album!!! Mark Free may have a weakness for the male sex but he sure can sing!!

From: Scandinavia Date: October 15, 2003 at 10:45
It doesn't get much better than this in terms of big, keyboard-driven AOR...

From: AOR freaky Date: December 12, 2003 at 9:30
Tim, you (as an expert !) are one of the few to dislike this MASTERPIECE ! Well, listen to Journey and let us enjoy this piece of classic AOR ! By the way : it says something about you, doesn't it ?

From: Firechicken Date: December 12, 2003 at 9:48
loud and clear is much a wonderful music group. this rare album by them is most fruitful with excellence. my english is not so good so i think this is concept album about trafiic lights or something. we now have some in my country so people don't run into cars.

From: JarWi Date: December 15, 2003 at 18:52
Ssssuuuupppppeeeeerrrrrbbbb! I know that personal tastes aren't subject to discussion but to those who consider themselves aor/hardrock lovers and don't like this really outstanding record: folks, you'd better go and find yourselves a better ear specialist, 'cause your present one is apparently a damn quack.

From: Studboy Date: February 25, 2004 at 23:32
AOR at it's best!!!

From: Rockhead Date: March 16, 2004 at 6:51
Totally agree with almost everything written about this release-it does not often get much better.

From: Andr Date: April 5, 2004 at 20:53
The only album you can compare to this one is Bad English ST. Pure and perfect AOR. Mark Free is an over the top vocalist, the songs are the greatest you will hear in your life. Signal is much better than King Kobra, is simply the best Mark Free did

From: King Kobra Date: April 21, 2004 at 11:58
This album is amazing!!!!!!Mark Free is the best vocalist of Hard Rock/Aor and Hard Rock Melodic....There isn't Marcie Free for Me. From the first track until the last ...all are great!!!!!! King Kobra,Signal and Unruly Child are super bands!!!!!

From: King Kobra Date: April 21, 2004 at 12:00
'Does It feel like love...does it feel like thunder,Does it feel like love in the cold light of day.....'

From: AOR freaky Date: May 6, 2004 at 11:38
The STANDARD for all AOR !!! Nuff said !!

From: Rockhead Date: May 6, 2004 at 11:43
We do agree 1000n this one (LOL) A true classic!!

From: Axe Machine Date: May 13, 2004 at 9:11
Absolute stunner of an AOR disc! Top keys, unbelievable vocals and great guitars. Produced by Kevin Elson (Journey) and can only be described as 100'lassic...a must have.

From: LM Osasuna Date: May 25, 2004 at 14:16
I bought recnetly this album (an Axe Killer release) guided by the comments above. A really good investment! An AOR classic! Don't miss it! I can't say the same thing of others buys !

From: TIM (2) Date: May 27, 2004 at 7:04
I only managed to get this recently also, and it's every bit as good as the comments above. 'Arms of a Stranger' is my fave, and it is a bit front-loaded, but is still better than virtually everything I've heard this century so far...

From: Kev Date: June 1, 2004 at 3:16
Listen to the album, have the lyrics in front of you, and digest it. Yes, the 1st 2 tracks jumps out at you at first, but the rest of the album will grow on you. I end up loving tracks like 'This love, this time', 'Wake up you little fool', and 'Could this be love' just as much as 'Arms of a stranger' and 'Does it feel like love'.

From: manos Date: July 7, 2004 at 14:27
A great release. This is slightly heavier than King Cobras ''Thrill of Lifetime''. Great lead and rythms, groovy keyboards and what else but awesome vocals by Mark Free. My opinion is that this one is the best thing Mark Free ever released along with ''Thrill of a Lifetime''. This is one of the records every one home should have one!

From: Big Papa K Date: July 10, 2004 at 0:13
I agree with a few of the other comments, on how this album starts off great, especially the first three songs. But after repeated listens, you realize how great the rest is with songs like 'This Love, This Time' and 'Go'. One of the essential pure aor albums. 10/10

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:02
Great stuff! 'Arms of a stranger' is easily one of my favourite songs of all time. Aside from that, we have a wonderful collection of melodic hard rock on display here, with touches of AOR now and then due to excessive keyboard usage. Great songs though... and did I mention I love the opening track?! 8/10

From: K.K. Poland Date: August 19, 2004 at 7:33
brilliant AOR!

From: AOR freaky Date: August 19, 2004 at 7:58
Damn right, K.K. Poland : IMO, the BEST PURE AOR ALBUM EVER !!!!!

From: Wotty Date: August 19, 2004 at 8:32
And another 80s album stirs up a lot of emotion,YES......

From: BWH'Indonesia' Date: August 20, 2004 at 10:40
Wake up you little fools, open your eyes, Loud And Clear is damn great. Mark Free's voice is beyond description. If you like him, then check out his Long Way From Love album.

From: Agnar Date: August 25, 2004 at 10:43
the bible of AOR!

From: AOR freaky Date: August 25, 2004 at 13:14
Damn right, Agnar ! This is THE BEST PURE AOR RECORD EVER ! Nuff said !

From: BWH'Indonesia' Date: September 9, 2004 at 8:06
If you love Mark Free's voice, you must try 3(Three), an 80's AOR band led by the keyboard wizzard Keith Emerson of ELP. The voice is very very similar. Also their music, but 3 is slightly more progressive.

From: Rocker76 Date: October 19, 2004 at 7:07
Most of the previous posts hit the nail on the head about this Signal album. Very solid & polished AOR...Not a weak song to be found. Highlight for me was the unbelievable power ballad 'This Love, This Time' which to me sounded like Richard Marx singing for mid-80s Foreigner (which translates into AOR heaven!) Fans of Mark Free's work in King Kobra or Unruly Child should already own this or buying it now if they don't. And that goes for 80s rock fans in general!

From: rocknroll Date: October 22, 2004 at 20:14
this is 7/10. If u're a hard-rock, aor fan u should have this one. Don't expect much from this one but if u like aor u should have it. Great ballads

From: AORshark Date: January 4, 2005 at 9:19
quality from a class genre and time. highly rated radio rock stuff like this sadly missed

From: Kiko Date: January 6, 2005 at 18:26
Excelent album, amazing tracks, the best leading vocals i ever heard, great guitar, bass guitar and drum. i love in the end of the 'you won't see me cry' the guy screaming... shows pain and hunger... gotta love it. excelent.

From: Date: February 6, 2005 at 12:01
Wow, why was this not huge, with alot of crap out around this time, this is the album of the year and one of the only ones to stand the test of time frrom that era. Very hard to do, but if I had to pick one album of this singer for the best, it would be Signal's Loud and Clear. Just Wonderful!!!

From: Swriter Date: February 24, 2005 at 17:46
for me, this one is a case of first listen nothing, next thousand listens, fantastic!!!!! I have revisited this one in the past few months and man, this one clicks for me, this is, as lots of people said, top aor rock. This is huge!!! also, my fav of all of the singer's releases

From: AOR freaky Date: February 25, 2005 at 2:17
Once again, simply put ! IMO the best pure AOR album of all time ! Period !

From: Stu Date: March 14, 2005 at 12:25
With members that consisted of Alice Cooper, Marc Jordan, King Kobra and Alcatrazz you would think this would be a multi-million seller but this is another example of record company's leaving good bands behind & not pushing them. This is a classic in my book & Mark Free could sing with the best of the best any day. There is not a bad song on this cd. Pure AOR brilliance!!

From: Roxas Date: March 14, 2005 at 21:26
Completely agree Stu. Arms of a Stranger, how could you write a better song? Textbook. There is no finer eg of what melodic rock is than this track. fantastic intro, great verse, absolutely wonderful bridge/pre chorus and the the icing on the cake the chorus. Talk about intoducing a solo with the way they slow the song right down..and then..what a solo, pure class. Then the best..classic 'Pause' before blasting back into the chorus to fade. Excellent. What a man, what a woman, what a voice!

From: z4roxx Date: March 20, 2005 at 13:09
Please someone can tell me why the song'Go'was stolen from Triumph/surveillance album and they've changed lyrics and title???I think it's a shame,a plague!(The song of Triumph is'Running in the night'),or there is somethin'else I don't know?BTW Signal rule!!!!!Masterpiece.......

From: Swriter Date: March 21, 2005 at 17:06
Talking bout my top five, this one is definately in it!!!! For some strange reason, I have never heard of Signal, not played in the States?? I did hear of KCobra. Not until I found this site did I get a copy of Signal, then found the original, which is still available and played it several times, pretty good, now a few months later, this one can reduce me to tears!!! man, what an album this is. Arms, Does it Feel, Liar, Wake up, Go, Run!!!! ESSENTIAL MASTERPIECE!!!

From: Lennie Date: March 21, 2005 at 17:20
I agree with Swriter..an AOR masterclass this one...'Arms of a Stranger''Liar''Does it feel like love' are my favs but they are ALL excellent. Real tough, punchy songs - great song writing, suberb vocal from Mark (?) Free. Essential purchase....I might just give it a whirl now!

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: April 14, 2005 at 19:27
Dear freaky, never in hell we could not be in agreement about this! I'm glad. It doesn't get any much better than this, it DOES NOT!They're only four but they're worth ten musicians! Plenty of keyboards, amazing vocals, crisp-clean and stunning production with a 11/10 rate, you can hear everything in a perfect balance as really few productions as ever did! Songwriting, choruses, melodies, everithing is where it should! ...and something else that rare bands has... Class! Pure Class!

From: AOR freaky Date: April 15, 2005 at 2:32
I fully agree with you on this CLASSIC AOR masterpiece, ArnoldLancelot ! Enjoy !

From: SCANDI Date: August 10, 2005 at 13:56
Not bad at all.. I think that's what you call a none-filler one. It surely is. And to have no 'fillers' may sometimes be a bit boring, eh? Whatsoever, my favourite here on is 'Does it feel like love'. Far better than the praised 'This love, this time'. Due to the songs sometimes sounds a lot like SKAGARACK (even the voice!) I give it an 8,6/10

From: SCANDI Date: August 10, 2005 at 13:58
It even has a touch of Hi-Tech AOR so you won't go wrong as a DOMINOE-fan either.

From: IcE Date: August 16, 2005 at 20:10
Great AOR album. One of the best i've ever heard. 'Go', 'Arms of a Stranger' and ' This Love This Time' are my favs, but this has no fillers at all. Extremely recommended if you liked Unruly Child. 9.5/10

From: MelodicMan Date: August 26, 2005 at 20:49
Just finished listening to it for the 1000th time. This album sounds better each time I do it. 'Does It Feel Like Love', what a gem! 'Run Into The Night' what a song! Every time I listen to 'Could This Be Love' I feel like I'm back watching Top Gun. This album is perfect AOR, top release in this genre, absolutely perfect.

From: HaremScarem Date: December 3, 2005 at 12:46
CLASSIC AOR MASTERPIECE.

From: JudithXR Date: January 29, 2006 at 21:42
Oh! Yeah! Without doubts, about all and any AOR bands, this is the CD # 1 to me!!! :-) Really SENSATIONAL!!! :-) And if you love 'aor tunes', buy it immediately!!! :-) I REALLY LOVE SIGNAL & MARK FREE!!! :-)

From: Dorothea Date: February 11, 2006 at 19:06
NO COMMENTS! Too good... Incredible.

From: POTENTE Date: February 28, 2006 at 16:42
If you don't know what is AOR, start with this one. You WILL LOVE this.

From: swriter Date: April 14, 2006 at 22:26
well, just heard this one and bought last year, after a year with it, one of the best of my 80's top 20 for sure, starts off with 2 fantastic songs, then for me drops a bit and around the middle picks up and stays strong all the way to the end, really great album indeed!!!

From: Gerasczman Date: April 26, 2006 at 18:19
Perfect ,from start to end ,one of the ULTIMATE AOR MASTERPIECES! Pure AOR Heaven ! Mark Free is unpararelled here..Every track will blow you away !Amazing AOR anthems : 'Arms Of A Stranger','You Won't See Me Cry' , 'Liar' ,'Go' and the fantastic ballads 'This Love ,This Time' and 'Could This Be Love'.Real AOR ecstasy..

From: metalhead4life Date: September 9, 2006 at 19:56
This is definitely more of an AOR CD but it does have some rock to it. If you're looking for King Kobra or more hard rock type of music then you probably shouldn't buy this. You will probably like it if you like AOR. I like AOR and this CD is decent but not great. CD has some good songs but also has songs that I don't care for. 50/50. It's kind of lacking in the catchy/melodic/hook department on about half the disc. Don't pay more than $15 for it. I give it a 6/10. Mark free is a good singer.

From: shadow51 Date: October 14, 2006 at 15:12

THIS CD, WITH THE DRIVE SHE SAID CD, LONG WAY FROM LOVE, HEARTLAND, THE URGENT CD, THE BEST AOR ALBUMS IN THE HISTORY. LONG LIVE AOR FOREVER.

From: stefantyketto Date: March 16, 2007 at 4:39
One of the best albums of all times! Soulful vocals and astonishing songs.Rarely you can discover records with no fillers. But it's even more rare to discover an album with songs that's hard to distinguish. Along with 'Vital Signs' by Survivor & 'Raised On Radio' by Journey, this is a classic AOR that was made for top 10 of AOR eternity!!

From: Steelheart Date: April 1, 2007 at 5:57
This CD is definitely some of the best material featuring Mark Free. 'Go', 'This Love, This Time' and 'Arms of a Stranger' really stand out as good songs, beyond that it's slightly 'music by numbers', but it never gets as bad or cringe-worthy as King Kobra.

Simply Awesome!! Mark Free de los mejores cantantes de AOR de la historia!!

From: Zoner Date: July 1, 2008 at 5:58
This is just a example of perfect AOR!! Mark Free is one of the best AOR singers ever and I have his solo cd 'Long way from love' with 2 CDs edition. Oh boy what that man can sing. He's a god on stage. That is one the best CDs I have ever heard in my entire life. But back to this brilliant AOR release! I should say that any track from this CD is pure AOR heaven. Stop to be close-minded and open your your ears for real AOR instead of average hard rock. Buy it any cost you will not be disappointed. Just take my words.

Wow ...seems a lot of people regard this album very highly. It may be Mr. Free's best work but I'm not sure if it is all that and a cream puff (besides I belive Mr. Free is now Mrs. Free). As a AOR release it is solid but I'm not sure I would go out and break the bank on this release (I paid $1.99 for it). Yes, it has some really good songs on it but I think there are many better albums than this. That being said I'll give it a 85/100.

What a good disc. This is the AOR! This album is great, amazing... All tracks are wonderful. If you like AOR, you don't miss it!

A decent AOR album rather than an all-time classic. I like most of the songs here, but not 1,3 and 8.

From: Mikey75 Date: March 31, 2009 at 16:28
I Agree. Mark was/is a great songwriter and singer. It is sad that he never made to the top. Signal and Unruly child are both great band. King cobra................maybe later. Cheers.

This is the kind of album that you listen over and over and over again and never get bored!!!...perfect combination of Hard Rock/AOR songs such as the opener "Arms Of A Stranger"(what a chorus!)"My Mistake"(with Eric Martin as a guest backing vocalist)and "Does It Feel Like Love" along with great ballads such as "This Love This Time" & "Could This Be Love" (both of excellent quality).Probably one of the late 80's releases, buy it with your eyes closed.95/100

"Does It Feel Like Love" and "Arms of a Stranger" are amazing tracks. It's a shame Signal was so short lived and it's really a shame that Mark / Marcie Free doesn't get the credit and recognition he / she deserves. Such an tremendous voice. I would kill to have pipes like that!

From: BICHOAOR Date: April 23, 2010 at 1:17
An underrated band and record, it´s a shame that they only made one record, but this only record it´s a gem, don´t forget that the voice is Mr. Mark Free, one of the best singers of the genre, if this one would have made at the beginning of the eighties, the result would have been another. A MUST BUY.

From: cmcasper Date: November 16, 2010 at 23:05
There is NOTHING wrong about this album! I must be the biggest idiot in history, because I've been sitting on this CD for 21 years, and only listened a time or two. But, I've whipped through the CD probably 25 times in the past 72 hours! I guess my idiocy from way back then is paying off now. If I would've listened to it back then, I wouldn't be enjoying it for basically the first time now! "Wake Up You Little Fool", "Arms Of A Stranger", "Does It Feel Like Love", and "Run Into The Night"? Brilliant!!

From: juan carlos Date: November 16, 2010 at 23:47
This is in my top20 albums of all time! it says it all. A Real Classic AOR album, A Gem! what more can i say!? An Obligatory must to own this CD, Period. 97/100

From: DonDefo Date: December 23, 2010 at 11:42
I love it - "Arms of the stranger" is one of my favourite AOR tracks alltogether! I love "Wake up you little fool", "Run into the night" too... The rest is also very good. One of my best music delights. Mark Free!

From: petermexico Date: May 25, 2012 at 21:36
This cd is great, only for one good reason,... Mark Free! Long live Mark, perdón Marcie Free!

BRILLIANT!!!!!!

From: edwithmj Date: November 16, 2014 at 7:10
I must say I prefer this to Unruly Child's debut. The tracks are more melodic and the hooks are more plentiful. Mark Free's voice is of course brilliant but what stands out for me is the blend of keyboard and guitars that I love in a lot of similar bands. Favourite tracks are Arms of a Stranger, Does it Feel Like Love, This Love, This Time, Could This Be Love; and the album finishes off with the best one: Run Into The Night (a track so good, it has to be heard to be believed). Very enjoyable melodic hard rock indeed.

Why weren't these guys huge?

From: edukiki Date: June 10, 2019 at 10:23
there are people to say that this álbum is a classic of aor for me, this disc is pretty loose. It is missing stuck, strength and most important, more catchy songs. Only three of four remerkable songs, the rest very poors Nothing comparable to the first UNRULY CHILD disc, or READY TO STRIKE of King Kobra

From: 123charpenay Date: June 10, 2019 at 15:24
totally agree with edukiki.i ve never understand the extraordinary enthusiasm about this record.

From: titothetitan Date: February 14, 2020 at 17:18
edukiki, the 'Ready to Strike' album is a generic Hard Rock album despite it's superb singer. And how such talented musicians like them managed record such a flat album like RTS is beyond me. But here Mark Free clearly put much more effort into the songs even it's not perfect [there are some fillers inbetween] but the Signal and UC albums are better than the KK albums. I get the impression that with the KK albums the band was forced to do exactly what the studio demanded just for the money.

On the Dutch "Music Meter"-site, which encompasses and rates all genres of popular music, this album rates the highest of all 1980-s albums. Of all albums, not just aor, not just rock, of all albums.
