Have always been a massive RP fan and bought all his solo stuff (aswell as Zepp of course). As with most of his back catalogue, this is not an album to listen to without spending the time and effort to fully appreciate, as their is so much going on. If you liked the last album 'Dreamland' then this will be right up your street, although this one is more upbeat and generally a much better release. |

I really didn't like Dreamland. I nearly didn't buy this one but I was seduced by the claims of best Plant material since Mid Led Zep and other such claims. Clearly it's not but it is a good album none the less. 'Shine it all around' is now one of my favourite Plant tracks. The rest come and go. Good but not great. |

Classy release from Robert. Not exactly worldshaking, but very solid. Class has no age ! |

I think this album is appealing to listeners that like music with arabic influences.Only for being Mr Plant is respecteable but musically talking is kinda boring.I prefer his works as Robert Plant and not under this monicker. |

Listening to this again and actually sticking to my old comment of 2007...i wrote boring...well if you compare this one to any other Plant's releases it could be but at the end it happens to be a pleasant one...best shots for me are "Shine It All Around","Freedom Fries","The Enchanter","Dancing In Heaven","Let The Four Winds Blow" & "Might Rearranger"...if you like relaxed and atmospheric sounds could be for you...80/100 |
