The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Locomotive Breath CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Locomotive Breath are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Featuring one time Hard Roxx contributor Janne Stark this is a good solid hard rock album. The cover of Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath is on a par with the WASP version. The production and playing overall is very good

As Rockhead notes above, these guys are musically very good. They remind me of a lesser Monster on this disc. There are a couple of great songs like 'Life's eternal play' and 'Captured' and some nice riffs, as there are on their 2nd release 'Heavy machinery', which is much the same. Good straight ahead hard rock but not great. Their 3rd release however, 'Change of track' is simply awesome. Killer riff driven melodic hard rock and I suggest you get that one first, then the first 2 if you must.

Musically this band shocked me,it’s rare to find in these genres technical bands like this one.Unfortunately again(who often I hear in these Scandinavian groups)singer is 10,000 Km.far from the other members and ruins a marvellous cd.BTW it worths the purchase and for me Locomotive Breath rest one of the finest bands ever came from Sweden.

Ahah 6.38??After the listenings of their 2'cd"Heavy machinery"I can say that's a MONSTER BAND,one of the greatest hard rock band of all times. This is a unique band,a sort of"technical" scandi hard rock with a bluesy touch, top musicians, one of the best rhythmic session ever heard(the bass sounds like thrash influences like bands such as Overkill or Panic),one of the most technical drummer in the genre, some progressive passages influenced by metal indeed.TOP BAND,one of the best in my life!!!!!!!!

They are getting better and better.Their 3rd effort "Change Of Track" has some killer tracks such as "Shadow" and "What I've become".Jeff Scott Soto-ish vocals and Dancing like a ballerina-guitars will blow you away.

I partially agree with the comments above. Yep i´d called it a Prog Hardrock/Metal before than "Technical".. I prefer their 2nd or 3rd album than this one. "Life's Eternal Play" is good or acoustics songs like "Fight With Love" and the instrumental "Departure". Ok to regular for me. 7.5/10
