Hey, my first time being here. I love this CD. It is a little bit weaker than the second one but really good. If you are a fan of Asia or John Wetton this is a must buy. |

Hmm - First impression is that this is a weaker version of the 2 previous Icon discs. 1 and 2 were choc full of excellent songs and were very consistent material wise, 'Icon 3' lacks the spark of the first 2 for me and never really gets going until the second half. OK, the Icon discs were never meant to be a balls out rock albums, and the quality of them was always in the proven songwriting partnership of Wetton & Downes, but they did on occassions get the old heart rate going a bit, 'Let Me Go' from the debut & 'The Die Is Cast' from the second one being good examples of exemplarly AOR. This one doesn't do it in the same way for me. Yes there are some nice tracks on here, Wetton sounds his usual excellent self, Downes' always great keys are to the fore, and it has a very nice, rich production, but I have an inkling that the the songs on here are not going to have the impact, in the way some of the others did on the first 2 discs. Time will tell |

How strange it could be. I think this is their best, so far. |
