Another of those one off albums which should have sold by the bucketload - Brilliant stuff all round and a firm favourite of mine. There are some exceptional tracks on this, especially in the first half -the stunning 'Catch My Heart','Just A Little Bit' or the excellent title track. 'Shoeshine Man' & 'Are We Rockin' Yet' have a more John Mellencampish flavour to them and don't completely win me over, but with only 2 average songs out of 10 all is forgiven. Very Highly Recommended

excellent stuff here, the first 4 songs are all killers and worth the money you gonna have to pay for the album.

Absolutely amazing AOR album. 'Kick The Wall', 'Catch My Heart, 'Just a Little Bit' and 'Dont Hold Back The Night' are what top class melodic rock are all about. Equally as stunning is his unreleased second album 'Going The Distance', which was shelved by MCA in 1988. Anyone without this album has a record collection with a gaping hole. Essential. 9/10.

This is indeed a very good AOR album, full of melodies and nive vocals. I rate it really highly and recommend it to anyone, except "Shoe Shine Man", "Are We Rockin' Yet" and "Why The West Was Won" which should have been eliminated (totally Jeff Healey Band or John Mellencamp). Besides them the album kicks some ass (especially "Kick The Wall").

Not much to add to the above comments. The first 4 tracks on this CD are AOR defined; brilliant stuff. The rest of the album doesn't quite add up, except for "Just Having Touched" which is a great ballad. As Harald noticed though, well worth picking up just for the killer tracks.

From: Delbert Date: January 3, 2010 at 12:28
The title song and first single "Kick the Wall" was a top 40 AOR hit as well as an MTV hit video. The group was well known for its live appearances as a tight, loud, rock-n-roll band and toured all over America. Jimmy can sometimes be compared to JOHN EDDIE and this CD has a very commercial appeal that has held up for quite a few years now.

Good album. I love "Kick the wall"

From: jstoyz Date: March 5, 2010 at 23:38
"Kick The Wall" is a fantastic commercial melodic rocker that, along with "Catch My Heart" and "Just A Little Bit," forms an opening trifecta of MHR excellence that are almost worthy of an album unto themselves. Though the whole CD is quite good, from my perspective, the remaining 2/3 of the album is simply unable to match the sparkling luster cast by the opening three melodic gems......Jeff.

Excellent album. Great vibe the album has. My favorites: Just a little Bit, Labor fo Love, Shoe shine Man, Are we rocking yet ? and the commercial closing rocker Over the Top. 89/100

Excellent album (at least is my appreciation)..a kind of soft rock and AOR and with some country'n'roll parts.."Catch My Heart" is a very good song,"Just A Little Bit" is one of my faves along with "Kick The Wall","Labor Of Love" is nice and catchy,"Just Having Touched" is a nice ballad and "Over The Top" is my top notch track in here!...i like the way Jimmy sings the songs,is like a mix of John Cougar kinda feel to it..recommended,86/100
