Excellent melodic metal CD. "When You See Me Again", "Tear Down The Wall", and "Seducer" highlight this CD deep rooted in 80's style of hard rock. Highly recommend for any fan of 80's metal.

first half of this album is a 10 drops of a bit for me on the second half but if you like gorgeous female vocals singing rock songs you 'll like this, some very nice touches

This is an excellent album. Think Pat Benatar sings Tesla and there it is. Tony Bruno also plays with DangerDanger these days. Superb album and a crying shame the band never broke big.

Every once in a while I throw this in the cd player and still dig it. Stands the test of time for me a lot better than the debut and she is an incredible singer. Too bad they didn't stick around more I think they could have been big. Was kinda stuck in that gray area of not completely a "hair" band but not completely a "classic rock" band which is a shame because both albums were great.

I love both Saraya CDs. Does anyone know of any female fronted bands that are similar other than Dante Fox or Alyson Avenue?

One of my favorite CD's from that time period. This is the direction I wish "HEART" would have gone then. Sandi Saraya has a great and very underated voice. It is a shame that they never really peaked on the charts. Both Saraya CD's both have a kind of magic for me. I think that "Blackbird" is a little heavier, but I think that is because "Bruno's" guitar tone has lots of balls (Bring Back The Light). If you are a "POISON" fan, Do not buy any Saraya CD's. They are too off the charts for someone

While the first album was pretty much aor with slight hard rock touches, this album is hard rock all the way as the guitars are more forceful. "When You See Me Again" is my favorite and producer Peter Collins turns in an excellent production job. 7/10

Simply one of the five best hard rock albums ever. The production is amazing, and the songs are pretty hard edged with and outstanding melodic touch. For me the best song is "In the shade of the sun", then i have to say that "Lion´s den" has a very good groovy in the guitar riff and "itchin´ a ride" and "when you see me again" are simply memorables songs. An out of print cd, this one is a blueprint of a hard rock killer album. 10/10 Contact:westofsunset@hotmail.com or davidgilvallejo@wanadoo.es

Musically, this is just a monster of a CD. Rock solid. And vocally, once again, Sandi sounds beautiful. 'When you see me again' is the best song they ever recorded and one of my fave female fronted (if not my fave) songs ever. A melodic gem. Elsewhere, 'Bring back the light' and 'Tear down the wall' are stellar melodic hard rock songs - the backing vocals on this CD are outstanding too. Quite a few fillers, but a solid CD.

Nuevamente coincido, aqui con Geoff. Una de mis cantantes favoritas de hard rock.Bonita tambien la balada acustica kNew World.

Great music, but the voice is bad in my opinion! the music I like but I think the voice ruins the whole feel, get shut of Sandi Saraya and get a dude in with a killer voice. Some would say "Why" I have nothing against women singers I just think that Sandi Saraya is bad...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

Although this is good, it's not as good as the first album. The songs seem to last a bit too long and there are fewer keyboards so the band sound a bit to generic. This album is a bit like Danger Danger's Cockroach when they lost their keyboardist. Still good though. 7.5/10

Disagree edwithmj, this is by far one of the best hard rocking albums ever. Production is spot on and the somgs are strong, catchy, vibrant and memorable. The first album was good but this is polished and sheer class. The guitar by Tony Bruno is in a class of its own. Sandy's voice....whoahh..nuff said!

Sandi Saraya had a very hard time in the music business and decided to move forward and take care of her five sons: "I loved music more than anything but I hated the music business and everything it stands for. I have to say too that the harsh criticism we received for the second album really affected me too. It was too much for me. I never wanted to go back to my old life. I've continued to sing, because I love singing, but i've done whatever I can to cover all traces of myself. I wanted to remain anonymous and not be associated in anyway with my old life."

I enjoyed it more than the debut. The band sounds more experienced and consistent.

Low points are the lack of a ballad and the unnecessary long length of the songs.

excellent hair metal release for SARAYA back in 91 and a classic of that era! When Blackbird Sings is a bit more guitar oriented than their marvelous debut but the melodies and the hooks are present with their trademark quality sound and musicianship!flawless from start to finish cant find anything wrong and still loving that album
