WHAT ? ? ? ? ? ? Still no comments on this one, one of the top five releases of the year so far (I've noticed that both Kamelot and Presto Ballet, my top album of the year so far, are also not present till this day !) ! Well, spoken of a NICE SURPRISE, this must be the biggest surprise of the year ! Mr. Hartmann with a BRILLIANT AOR/melodic hardrock CD ! I couldn't believe it myself, but check this out, ladies and gentlemen, and you will be blown away ! A MUST HAVE ! Swriter and co, c'mon ! |

indeed a nearly perfect melodic rock release. not a single filler to find. buy! 9/10 |
From: swriter | Date: July 22, 2005 at 12:01 |
the comments must of been wiped, I do remember leaving comments on this before. This is not pure aor but a really good harder rock album, but not metal, a good one indeed, and what a great voice, all strong songs, a top contender as well for the year. I also agree that Presto Ballett is wonderful!!! |

Yep comments have been wiped out. Had posted myself earlier already. Anyways the "shouter"of Art Vance delivers a killer melodic rock album. Stunning vocals. He clearly has found his "path". Excellent albun all in all. Together with Blanc Faces for me the two highlights of 2005. |

WOW! Absolute masterpiece here, imo. Standout songs for me.....(so far...lol) are "Brazen" and "I Will Carry On". Incredible pipes, Mr. Hartmann! Simply awesome. Second only to GOTTHARD's LipService (for me) this year. |

A quality album all the way and definately one of the best this year so far, in a year of averageness in the MR/AOR genre. There are some very very good songs on this -My tops being 'Alive Again', 'Brazen' which even surpasses the excellent Skunk Anansie original, the killer 'Can you Tell Me Where Love Has Gone ' & 'What If' all being top quality. Add to that a nice full production and impressive performances from all involved and you have a very impressive debut indeed!!. |

Awesome release...almost perfect. The man has somw pipes. Just listening to "Brazen" gives me chills. My only knock of the cd is song flow. I felt towards the end the song pace remained a little to slow. One more rocker towards the end would have made it just about perfect. |

What a pleasant surprise to listen to this album from ex-At Vance singer and he can definitely sing. From the neo-classical metal of his previous band to melodic rock/AOR. Good versatility. Highly worth checking out for the curious one who doesn't know this guy. |

Superbly executed AOR, which includes a stunning cover of the track Brazen. Bought this album after witnessing a truly stunning live show at the United Forces of Rock in October and was glad I did. Plenty of angst-ridden tracks on this which make for a pretty moody affair, but with a few more breezy tracks such as What If I and Listen To Your Heart thrown in, it keeps the album flowing nicely. Certainly one of the best AOR records of 2005. Strongly Recommended! |

"Can You Tell Me Where Love Has Gone" is the whole CD worth. Wonderful ballad. Just in the good old vein we all know from the 80's/90's. |

Oliver H. no lo hizo nada mal en su primer trabajo, buen AOR contemporaneo con gancho y muy bien interpretados como Alive Again, Out in the cold, How long, etc, es general un disco discreto pero de buena calidad 8.9/10 |

Probably the first time that i would totally agree with mr. AOR freaky. A hell of a suprise this was for me. Excellent songs, solid vocals and very good production...surely in my top-3 of 2005/06 releases...can't wait for his follow-up |

Ohh, I havent commented on this gem yet (or did I??? mmm)! Think the comment above is correct - this was wiped?? Wow is all I can say...definite top 10 of 05 for me. Hartmann is awesome throughout esp the amazing ballads 'I Will Carry On' and 'Can You Tell Me....'. Production great, songs great, vocals great - cant wait for no 2 prob in early 07 now :-) |

Un buen albun de HardRock/AOR que claro con esos toques actuales muy actuales para mi gustos ya casi un Rock comercial como los muchos que anda saliendo por ahi pero a ver temas como "The Same Again" es uno y los siguiente Serian "What If I", "Listen To Your Heart" & "Into The light" un buen disco nada fuera de lo comun por cierto solament un buen disco actual.. |

Oliver Hartmann is well known for being the lead vocalist of the power metal band At Vance,as a solo artist he is doing fine and more orientated towards the melodic territory..he's a great singer and this album (his debut) is not probably the most solid album ever but has good songs and is quite pleasent.."Alive Again" is a solid starter,"Out In The Cold" is a very good song,"The Same Again" is a highlight,"What If I" is one of the best,"How Long" has good female backing vocals,"The Journey" is a smooth nice track,"Listen To Your Heart" is far the best song of the album and the last 2 tracks "Can You Tell Me Where Love Has Gone" & "Into The Light" stand proud and tall too!..in general lines an album that could easily please any self respected rocker,as i said, not the most solid album ever but surely a goodie one.85/100 |
