| Even if - like me - you're not an Oliver Hartmann super fan, it's easy to appreciate the overall quality of his work and recognize his staying power in the melrock genre. "Get Over It" is a pretty good entry into his recent catalogue, featuring a few missteps but predominantly good songs. The album lacks a true hit single, but you'll find some interesting and occasionally catchy compositions in "One Step Behind," "When We Were the Young" (personal favorite) and the titular track. "Remedy" features a pseudo gospel chorus that I don't like and "The Gun" is a completely out-of-place blues rock number, but they're the outliers in an otherwise engaging production. Not my favorite, not his best, but impossible not to recommend even to casual listeners.
