Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

This one has been laying on the shelfs for years, so i forgot all about it. This guy is not bad at all, he is no Satriani or Vai, but he is certainly not far behind these guys. Most track have jazzy/fusion (and funky) feel and they remind me of Mitch Perry (wire to wire) and Neil Zaza. It's not filled with a 1000 notes per second, which is good. If you like instrumental albums this would be a nice addition to your collection .7/10. |

He doesn't play as quickly as eg. Yngwie but this is excatly what makes his music so... understandable. Listening to his records, you face a nice mixture of styles (jazz, funk etc., as zld said) but he always keeps rocking anyway! And hey... how can you not fall in love with these 2 wonderful ballads (Brief Encounter/In The End)? ![]() |
