If you notice that a particular Stencil Forest CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Stencil Forest are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Loved the first album 'Opening Act' that was finally re-issued on CD a while back & was really looking forward to this one. Initially it sounded pretty good, but now I have lived with it & played the hell out of it, the disappointment has set in big time. Gone is the majestic Pomp/Prog sound of 'Opening Act', to be replaced by a more stripped back sound that never gets going at all. There are some nice melodies on here 'Broken' especially is a lovely tune, 'Lifeline Suite' is also good,

...but the major disappointment is the 24 minute 'The Abyss'. With a long track like this, light and shade coupled with a big finish is the usual recipe. With this, it just meanders on & on with it's admittedly nice melody, but goes absolutely nowhere at all. As a 6 Minute piece, this would have been fine, but for 24 Minutes, the boredom sets in quickly. For a self released album, the production is very good, But on the whole it is all way way too Laid back & polite for it's own good.
